Fuck the Repubs

If they (or anyone) wants to filibuster then they need to stand up and actually do it

Currently, they can just phone it in and go out drinking

Make these fat old fucks stand up and do it like they did in the old days and you'll see a lot less of this nonsense from both sides

I noticed you didn't mention kind of work you do?
I am a published author and can out write any one of you.
I also am former football and basketball player and have a great inside game.
now just for balance, so this isn't labelled a total meltdown ape chest pounding rant, Things I am bad at:
Any short guy x sports since I am tall.
lying, since my face gives it away or I start laughing
being patient, esp when driving
business, since I don't own a big successful one, but I am trying to change this.
understanding how selfish people are despite what they say otherwise, this I am improving on
typing since I never bothered, and capitalization which sucks for online

Some of your response is redundant, so I will only address that which is new material with a couple of exceptions.

Exception #1: I have no idea what Santa Monica is like today, since when I lived there it was 50 years ago and it was a nice beach town.

Exception #2: I sometimes drink to much too. Nobody is perfect.

I did not mention my work because I am retired. I'm 68 years old, remember? However, this doesn't mean I do nothing. I am board chair for a non-profit organization. I am the secretary - treasurer for another non profit organization. I am very politically involved. I worked during the recent election cycle to get the candidates our organizations endorsed elected. Being as how most all of them were Democrats, I am happy to say I and my campaign coworkers were very successful. Now that the elections are over, I will continue my work as a congressional network and legislative network liaison and lobbyist. In addition to these little distractions, I am the primary caregiver for my wife who is permanently disabled and quite ill. Needless to say, I am lucky to have planned for my "retirement" since there wouldn't be a lot of time left for me to go to work at this point.

Exception #3: I am also published. Unlike you, my posting style reflects this to some small degree.

I must admit that I suck at playing baseball, basketball and football, always have. I wish I'd been more accomplished in these endeavors, but it simply wasn't my strong suit. As a teenager, I was a fairly good swimmer and equestrian (have not been riding in decades).

What is a short guy sport? Did I mention my father was 6'6". I have no idea why I am so short at 5'11".

We have the next two items on your list in common. I cannot successfully lie, therefore I don't bother to try anymore and I am very impatient especially when I am driving, although I am working on this typical type A negative characteristic.

I wish you success in any future business endeavors you may pursue. Being self employed is hard work, but done right, it really pays off big time. Since my stepdad owned his own business, I witnessed both the good and bad aspects of this. Some of my friends, who are also now retired, have done very well for themselves by being their own bosses. I never had the stomach for it. I think I am basically insecure when it comes to taking chances with money.

People are what you believe them to be. If you look for selfishness, you will find it. I prefer to look for the good in people. I am rarely disappointed.

Despite my giving you a hard time about your typing and grammar skills, I believe I detect that you suffer some ADHD and dyslexia issues. Although we may have differing opinions on many subjects, I recognize that you have given a lot of thought and time studying much of what you believe. If you could keyboard better, you'd be a lot more credible.

So when are you going to invite me for a visit at the beach? The rain where I live can get a person down after awhile. As I remember, winter weather there isn't the best, but our spring rains last a least until July 4th. A beach break in Southern California would be excellent. Let's just agree to not talk politics, OK?

Is that a transsexual in the photo you've attached?

Obama's Soviet Mistake
19.11.2012

By Xavier Lerma

Putin in 2009 outlined his strategy for economic success. Alas, poor Obama did the opposite but nevertheless was re-elected. Bye, bye Miss American Pie. The Communists have won in America with Obama but failed miserably in Russia with Zyuganov who only received 17% of the vote. Vladimir Putin was re-elected as President keeping the NWO order out of Russia while America continues to repeat the Soviet mistake.

After Obama was elected in his first term as president the then Prime Minister of Russia, Vladimir Putin gave a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland in January of 2009. Ignored by the West as usual, Putin gave insightful and helpful advice to help the world economy and saying the world should avoid the Soviet mistake.

Recently, Obama has been re-elected for a 2nd term by an illiterate society and he is ready to continue his lies of less taxes while he raises them. He gives speeches of peace and love in the world while he promotes wars as he did in Egypt, Libya and Syria. He plans his next war is with Iran as he fires or demotes his generals who get in the way.

Putin said regarding the military,

"...instead of solving the problem, militarization pushes it to a deeper level. It draws away from the economy immense financial and material resources, which could have been used much more efficiently elsewhere."

Well, any normal individual understands that as true but liberalism is a psychosis . O'bomber even keeps the war going along the Mexican border with projects like "fast and furious" and there is still no sign of ending it.  He is a Communist without question promoting the Communist Manifesto without calling it so. How shrewd he is in America. His cult of personality mesmerizes those who cannot go beyond their ignorance. They will continue to follow him like those fools who still praise Lenin and Stalin in Russia.  Obama's fools and Stalin's fools share the same drink of illusion.

Reading Putin's speech without knowing the author, one would think it was written by Reagan or another conservative in America. The speech promotes smaller government and less taxes. It comes as no surprise to those who know Putin as a conservative. Vladimir Putin went on to say:

"...we are reducing taxes on production, investing money in the economy. We are optimizing state expenses.

The second possible mistake would be excessive interference into the economic life of the country and the absolute faith into the all-mightiness of the state.

There are no grounds to suggest that by putting the responsibility over to the state, one can achieve better results.

Unreasonable expansion of the budget deficit, accumulation of the national debt - are as destructive as an adventurous stock market game.

During the time of the Soviet Union the role of the state in economy was made absolute, which eventually lead to the total non-competitiveness of the economy. That lesson cost us very dearly. I am sure no one would want history to repeat itself."

President Vladimir Putin could never have imagined anyone so ignorant or so willing to destroy their people like Obama much less seeing millions vote for someone like Obama. They read history in America don't they? Alas, the schools in the U.S. were conquered by the Communists long ago and history was revised thus paving the way for their Communist presidents. Obama has bailed out those businesses that voted for him and increased the debt to over 16 trillion with an ever increasing unemployment rate especially among blacks and other minorities. All the while promoting his agenda.

"We must seek support in the moral values that have ensured the progress of our civilization. Honesty and hard work, responsibility and faith in our strength are bound to bring us success."- Vladimir Putin

The red, white and blue still flies happily but only in Russia. Russia still has St George defeating the Dragon with the symbol of the cross on its' flag. The ACLU and other atheist groups in America would never allow the US flag with such religious symbols. Lawsuits a plenty against religious freedom and expression in the land of the free. Christianity in the U.S. is under attack as it was during the early period of the Soviet Union when religious symbols were against the law.

Let's give American voters the benefit of the doubt and say it was all voter fraud and not ignorance or stupidity in electing a man who does not even know what to do and refuses help from Russia when there was an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Instead we'll say it's true that the Communists usage of electronic voting was just a plan to manipulate the vote. Soros and his ownership of the company that counts the US votes in Spain helped put their puppet in power in the White House. According to the Huffington Post, residents in all 50 states have filed petitions to secede from the Unites States. We'll say that these Americans are hostages to the Communists in power. How long will their government reign tyranny upon them?

Russia lost its' civil war with the Reds and millions suffered torture and death for almost 75 years under the tyranny of the United Soviet Socialist Republic. Russians survived with a new and stronger faith in God and ever growing Christian Church. The question is how long will the once "Land of the Free" remain the United Socialist States of America?  Their suffering has only begun. Bye bye Miss American Pie!  You know the song you hippies. Sing it! Don't you remember? The 1971 hit song by American song writer Don McLean:

"And, as I watched him on the stage my hands were clenched in fists of rage.

No angel born in Hell could break that Satan's spell

And, as the flames climbed high into the night to light the sacrificial rite, I saw...

Satan laughing with delight the day the music died

He was singing, bye bye Miss American Pie

Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry

Them good ol' boys were drinking whiskey and rye, singing...

This'll be the day that I die

This'll be the day that I die

So, the question remains:

How long will America suffer and to what depths?

nice mish mash of meaningless crap

MBS have existed for a long time as has the CRA

the cause of the cause of the meltdown was the deregulation of the commodities market that allowed investment banks to create pools of mortgage that were designed to fail.   This wasn't the original intent but as investments banks (Lehman and Bears Stearns) created the Alt-A loan product they gradually started loosening UW standards.    With this new source of easy money in the market an asset bubble was created and eventually certain banks and hedge funds figured out that they could create pools of loans that were designed to fail and cash in on the credit default swaps (something that AIG and other companies were allowed to create without ever having the asset base to back them up)

It's amazing how so many years after the meltdown that we still have these right wingers passing along the same stupid lies about what caused the problem when the facts have been presented many many times over

Fannie/Freddie, CRA etc.. are all right wing scapegoats and did not CAUSE anything

when the asset bubble popped then any bank, lender or associated institution that was holding MBS was going to be effected as the value of their assets declined or became impossible to value accurately on a balance sheet

Here’s How it Will be Done…

Incrementalism has proved depressingly effective as a tool for getting most people to quietly surrender their rights piecemeal. For gradually habituating them to an ever-diminishing circle of liberty. When the circle finally closes and their rights no longer exist at all, they hardly notice – because by that time, most of their rights have already been taken.

The final surrender is met with a shrug rather than a scream of outrage.

Think how Americans have been habituated to arbitrary search and seizure. Something like the TSA would simply not have been tolerated if it came out of the blue sky circa 1980. And no, the terrr attacks of nineleven did not “change everything.” Getting people to accept “sobriety checkpoints” beginning around 1980 changed everything. Accept that – and something like Gate Rape is inevitable.

The same process works just as well when it comes to dismantling due process – and removing limits on what the government may not do to us. We didn’t get to legal strip searches for jaywalking or littering in one fell swoop. Nor rendition, torture as policy – and presidential kill lists. It is a matter of getting them – getting us – to  tolerate “A” so that “B” will be accepted in turn.
