As impressive a technical achievement as the Veyron is -- and let's not kid outselves, it is amazing -- it simply isn't an attractive car in my eyes.

I'd prefer any of the following over the Veyron because I find them more visually appealing although none of them hold a candle up to the Veyron in terms of performance: a Ferrari 458 Italia, an Audi TT-RS, an Aston Martin DB-S, a Lamborghini Gallardo, a McLaren F1, or a KTM X-Bow. I'd also go for a Cobra or a classic Pontiac GTO with upgrades before the Veyron.

But I wouldn't go so far as to say Bugatti has lost my business; they just need to try harder to meet the discerning and discriminating tastes I have!

V10s just don't sound as good as a V8. Too many cylinders firing. And V12s have an exotic sound no doubt but to me the best sounding ones are V8s. The big blocks are mean as hell!

Porsche Carrera GT, Lexus LFA, Lamborghini gallardo/ Audi R8, e60 M5, even Viper, all IMO shit on V8's in sound.

Best sounding V8's to me are high revving ones from Ferrari, Audi rs4, e9x m3's, and the exception c63 amg and isf. I prefer refinement sounding cars over muscle any day. That is not sayin they don't sound good though.

I always thought the BMW Z8 roadster was tight, not very common at all.
