Why won't people use CHALK is beyond me

for example when coleman was deadlifting the 800lbs for 2 reps, I thoght it was strange how he was on the squating positiong for over a minute putting on the straps, and stayed on that position for another minute after that before he finally lifted it.
Me I have to walk around a little and focuse, then go near the bar, position my feet, and then ass down, head up and lift, that's how you should deadlift.
Ironneck got it up and it was a strong lift, I'm not taking away that but it was not a clean lift, is all.
