I think most know it's bullshit and certainly everyone who has spent even a small amount of time reading or listening to Paul.  It's impossible Paul is a racist.  But I wonder if there are 2 to 4 percent or so that saw this accusation and said, that's my candidate lol...

the the hit jobs on everyone else - this is going nowhere.   and seriously - w the issues we face who cares?

No I didn't see that but I don't doubt it.

Ron Paul got a little pissed at the CNN interview and then CNN acted shocked ::)  I don't blame him.  Blitzer did a huge segment on this and Ron Paul answered the questions in stellar fashion to the point that almost everyone that sees that interview understands.  Then Blitzer sends this bitch after him to ask all the same shit and then to chew Paul out and tell Paul that they have to ask these questions.  Fucking Bullshit, they already asked these questions and Paul answered them.  Paul was right to be pissed.  The CNN segment should have went like this, "Back in march of.. we talked to Paul about the newsletters and here's what he had to say..."  Instead they act like this had never been dealt with and Paul is not being cooperative ::)

I think it's just about Wolf Blizter being a complete fucking asshole.  He knew well the interview they already did and didn't even mention it.  He was happy to make this look like it's the first time they've grilled him over it on CNN.  With him, it could be over Israel that he wants to hurt Paul.  He sure was not honest here.  Someone needs to shove Blitzer up Hannity's ass. :D

here. Is what is going on.    everyone knows Obama has been a disaster.   so we all know he can't run on his record of failure.   So what they are doing is trying to make any Repub look so bad an awful that despite Obama, the Repub would be worsen including RP.

I think it's actually good this stuff all gets out during the primary.  There really is an art to the timing of a scandal.  People get over it fairly quick these days. All this stuff that's coming out now will have less impact in the general.

Bro , my expectations are so low that they could accuse RP of banging a goat and I would not care.

You really do live in some carefully concocted fantasy world. You're pretty much a child.

LOL at the insecure little boy trying to call me a child

I hope the Repub nominee is stupid enough to bring up Ayers

it worked great last time

The facts disagree with you  He jumped to his highest point ever in the polls rapidly and during the same time the newsletters have been most talked about.  He hasn't been able to really break above 10 and then he rapidly shot past that.  I check the polls daily.

correlation does not imply causation

do you believe he is rising because people are attracted to the idea that he might be a racist

Dunno, but it might just coincide with the great job he's been doing in Iowa and the closeness of the upcoming events.  He's running a much stronger better oiled campaign than ever before.

1. correlation does not imply causation

2. do you believe he is rising because people are attracted to the idea that he might be a racist
1.  I didn't say it did, that's why I posted for discussion.
2. I think it's possible that 2 to 4 percent of the party are and it's possible that could be related to his recent bump.  I just thougth it would be an interesting thread to see what others think.

I posted this thread knowing that this is not a smart thing to question as a Ron Paul supporter.  Just curious buddy.

I said that it could only help in a couple of days ago and got criticized for it

Since when do Repubs or for that matter TBaggers give a shit about racism

If anything, this should get him more votes

It's clear that the impartial right wing media is trying to make an issue out of those newsletters but I don't think anyone is really paying attention.   I honestly hope there is no one who wasn't previously considering RP who "decided" based on the idea or hope that he is racist.

I think his rise is the polls has a lot to do with the dwindling field of oppoenents and general disatisfaction by the party with their choices

whatever group it was that made Trump surge and then Bachman and then Perry and then Cain and then Newt has now come around to RP

Ron Paul has not been able to get above his solid base in the polls month after month he's been on average around 9 or so percent.  Then when the media starts making a huge deal about the racist newsletters he gets his biggest bump of the campaign...  Kinda funny shit.  What's that say about republicans?

I think many see this as the MSM kicking Ron Paul in the ribs over something that he clearly never believed in. Most people don't like when someone gets bullied around.

CTer in me says that the best way to get that toothless hillbilly palin voter to support you is to show a little racism.

Paul did this by purposefully walking out of interview - drawing attention to this newsletter.  That gets the 5% of tea partiers who agree with that writing -

Most of what was said in the newsletters was truth.

That gets their vote  ;)
