I don't expect those "athletes" to tell everybody they are illegally abusing prescription drugs. What I don't understand is why they can't just say "No, I'm not taking anything illegal.". Why the rants (see op), the tears (remember seeing a video of Jeff Willet crying because he can't deal with being accused of using PEDs), the insults and taunts (Layne Norton et al. calling out others for just not being dedicated enough etc.).

I saw an interview with Andreas Münzer some years back, and it went like this:
Interviewer: "What supplements do you take to look like that?"
Münzer: "Everything that is legal."
I: "What about steroids?"
M: "Steroids aren't legal."

Far better way to deal with it than what those "natural" morons do.
