What is a respectable bench weight for the following?

-natural, never touched gh/anabolics/pro hormones EVER...just too much booze, weed, coke, hydrocodone
-35 years old, 2 kids, full time work, full time school
-shitload of stress
-170lbs, 12% bf, 5'9, white
-rollercoaster workout background(serious for some time followed by months of nothing)

I started using the intellegent bench press form(powerlifting style)

In the last 6 weeks i have dropped 18.5lbs and 3.4% bf, my bench 1rm went from 205lb to
260lb and it is starting to drop a little to around 245 from cutting

I feel that 260lb at 170lb bw is pretty good considering my sickening lack of willpower

Flame on nuggas

this is very close to my description!!!..

i am a lifetime natural.. never touched anything.. only tried creatine few times..
32 years old,.. husband,.. 2 kids.. a dog to walk every day.. work.. etc..
175 lbs,.. around 12% BF,.. 5'7.. white arab..

i bench pressed 150 kg (331 lbs) for one easy rep last monday.. i may try the 155 kg (342 lbs) today.. i did it before many times but at a little higher BW than now..

if correct and not super sloppy ass in the air that is a very great feat of strength. Double b.w is a little better then great more like 1-20,000-40,000 males could do it. Many get close but 20lbs away is not double body weight. My figures are very conservative if i was a going to bet I would bet a double body weight bench is more like 1- 100,000 males or less. No doubt wes trained with some one in the 70s that repped double b.w like one of the barbarian borthers or something. lol

here is me at 69 kg bench pressing 140 kg (more than double my weight which makes me fantastic not just great)  ;D

the form is not perfect here because this was in the power lifting contest of my gym immediately after the bb contest which i had entered so was exhausted after a lot of worming up and posing.. i was normally doing it easier than this video..

and here in a new video i did the same weight for 3 reps but at 83 kg bw:

So you don't respect guys who don't bench a lot?

Do you still read Superman and Batman comics with a flashlight under your blanket at night too?

seems about right.

those of us who Juice but are not in prison or natural black althetes could look at 405 x 5 as a impressive goal for a juicer or 365 x 10 both with perfect form no brotouch or sternum bouncing

seems pretty accurate

tired of all these bullshit claims of a natty 170lber doing a single with 405

how many guys do you see in the gym who can bench 405. when guys bench 315 its a rarity

and its always the big fat guys who do the 315+

Hahaha....you dumb fucks need to go to any high school football weight lifting session. There are plenty of guys doing 315, 365, 405.

Sure some of them have bad form ...but still punk kids benching that much and a great majority of them are natural and scared of juice.

The usual standard that I think is a good one is -

1.5 x bw Bench

2 x bw Squat

2.25 or 2.5 x bw Deadlift . You'll get some argument over the deadlift number, but that's a good range.

Anything over body weight is good for a shoulder press with no leg drive.

That is respectable range for a guy that puts in quality time at the gym but isn't super hardcore.

mcrobert talks about proper form, genetically typical non drug assisted people with a job and responsibilities

obviously there are going to be some more gifted people living in low stress environment (high school, college) who can achieve more

just keepin' it real unlike a lot of getbiggers

Anything over 250 is good, lots of naturals can bench 225, I know at least 1 guy that can do 4 plates as natural, I did 365 before I juiced but that's cause as a teenager I benched literally every other day but very few can crak 3 plates and up without juice

275-300 paused at the chest in overall good form.

i'd say that maybe 1% of the whole male population (ages18-40) could do that, and even if we talk about only fellas who train, then it's around 10% of the total training population

300 pounds paused at the chest is an OUTSTANDING press
