I appreciate all of the feedback. JPM -- your reputation precedes you

Same said for Chaos. And I appreciate your question, Montague. Visit my area near Charlotte, NC and I owe each of you steak dinners

I can't remember doing anything that caused the pain. As noted, it's been while since I trained biceps and back directly (upwards of two weeks). I've not done any form of deadlift in that time either. I've managed to train pecs/delts/tris hard once weekly and I've made time for break-in sessions for abs and legs here and there but, as noted, a lot of my schedule has to do with how normal/not my paternal grandparents are on a daily basis.
I've not had the opportunity to hang from a chinning bar yet, but I've stretched my right biceps hard, including in a simulated "hang," and felt no pain. A couple of days ago, I also picked up and curled a DB at home; while somewhat heavy, I didn't rush the positive and, after several reps, didn't feel any pain.
I've only felt any kind of pain maybe two or three times today. About the only constant is that, when my biceps does feel like it's tearing (or, at least, it feels very hot, like the area has a local fever!

), it lasts perhaps .5 seconds whilst I lean over and quickly reach out with my right arm.
Strangely enough, if I try to duplicate the pain, I can't :|
I know that's about as articulate as a retarded artichoke. The best way I can describe it is to say that, if I went bowling, my right-handed self would probably feel the burning/tearing sensation at least once or twice before the night was over.
One thing I should emphasize is the intermittent nature of the pain. It hurts, sure enough -- but only for about a half-second at a time and, apart from bending over and reaching for things, it does not register.
Weird, nay?
