« on: May 26, 2012, 04:11:31 PM »
I use more weight than the dude in the video below but sumo squats have become my 1st exercise on leg day... i love the burn and then when i go to front squats next i tend to use less weights (pre-exhausted) but i feel a better pump

I've never tried any movement using the sumo stance.
Do you feel anything more in your hips using this method?
How about glute involvement; do you notice any more or less than when using "standard" form?

Have you also adopted the same stance for deadlifting?

What made you decide to try this?

i tried it after watching a crossfit video... i feel it less in my glutes and way more in my groin and quads

i also do sumo deadlifts as a change up (to stiff legs)

for back i do a superset of straight deads and shrugs

LMAO!!
Hey, one more question: do you find the sumo stance any more or less taxing on the lower back/lumbar region?

i assume you mean for deadlifts... i find it about the same... from a squat perspective, using a dumbbell or 2 takes the back right out of it as long as you keep it straight

I meant for either, but yes - especially for deads.
Thanks, again!
