i was impressed... i'd kill every member of this board to be able to do that many pull ups (half, whatever...)

reading getbig for years....purely for entertainment purposes, and not as a substitute to real life as other do...guess I was feeling extra masochistic that day...and some kipping crossfit cultist was doing even worse form, and bragging afterwards...good call on "name that race"....purely by looking at my back (and not my crotch)....u guessed asian...I'm impressed....filipino to be exact....

you guys are idiots.

this guy is working the exact correct range for back.

the full hang only means that you engage minor muscle at the start, its a pointless waste of energy.  Furthermore this guy doesnt give his back any rest at all- its in constant tension the whole time- making it even harder. The body of the muscle is used from about 1/3 up to 4/5 up.

its the same as for bench, biceps curls and a whole load of other movements.

the form is fine.




So what you are saying is that you tell everyone you are capable of 30 pull ups knowing if you went from dead hang to all the way up you couldn't do 10.  Any one want to know what I run the 100 meter sprint?  I only do 90 meters but hey  it's the same thing. The premise what was put forward was how many pull ups in a minute. You can't have one guy doing partial reps comparing to a guy doing full reps.
