Too many people are described as "business men" these days. Let's call it like it is, he's a hustler, a shyster, charlatan. He is what makes the bbing world so shady. As GH would say, he's "filth". He is no business man, because he has no real "business", man.

Spot fucking on...In America, a person can literally be retarded and get a LLC.

I am going to do my best and try to find that article so you don't make a liar out of me.  But seriously the guy was rumored to be close to 300 lbs at his peak so that kind of weight is not inconcievable.
Back in the 80's I witnessed a Mr Canada competitor squat 7 plates for an easy couple of reps with no warm up, no wraps and he was only 230.  I myself have done 615 at 205lbs.  Even today I rack squat 600 for 5 with no wraps. I cant imagine a guy who has 100 lbs more muscle than me and every drug known to man to be as weak as you say. I could be wrong.

Look, I used to be an editor at MMI, so I know beyond know that most of the poundage claims in the mags are pure horseshit.

As I say, an official (below parallel) squat with 850 is gigantic. Hell, check out Coleman doing, what, eight-something ... ? ... He isn't close to legal depth.

A 300-pound bodybuilder hitting good reps with five or six plates is more than impressive. If he can do one or two legal reps with seven or more, AMAZING. Like, way amazing.

" ... (I watched a) Mr Canada competitor squat 7 plates for an easy couple of reps with no warm up, no wraps and he was only 230."

Don't buy it. Not to anything resembling a legal depth. IPF-style. I have been in hardcore lifting gyms for 27 years and never have I seen a man squat anything more than around mid-sixes for a rep or two, raw. The very best raw squatters in the world, juiced to the hills, do somewhere around 7-800, generally. In a meet after peaking their training.

To squat to rails set so the deepest point puts you one or two inches higher than true parallel is not even remotely the same as sitting down to a full squat.

An 850 squat is a freakish feat.

Just by default of all the drugs and hormones floating through his system, Palumbo was a strong dude. But 850 is outlandish.

Three hundred pounds bodyweight is nothing when considering the crushing ferocity of an 800 pound barbell strapped across your back.

The very best doing nine or more use gear that literally puts hundreds of pounds on the performance.

Anyone who can squat a set of 10 with 500 is hugely strong. A true freak, regardless of drug use or not.

Okay Mr. Fortress I found the article.  It's an interview with Palumbo on bodybuilding.com.  Sorry I don't know how to link it but it is easy to find, just google dave palumbo squat.  He states that he has squatted 800 fo 4 reps! and deadlifted 600 for 8!  I knew I wasn't crazy ;D  Whether it is true or not is another matter, I believe your credentials so let's say he might have fibbed a little.

Rewatched Ronnies squat and I believe that would be a legal squat.  I have watched many lifts on utube that were passed and his is easily as low as any I've seen. It's just that his quad is so huge that it looks high, and he does it with very little assist from the butt.  It's all quad.

I may be new to GB but I've been lifting for more years than I care to admit.  One gym I worked out at shared the basement with a powerlifting group that sent guys to the worlds every couple of years, and I trained with a provincial record holder.  Amazingly looking back now he knew very little about proper training.  He gave me a lot of bad advises. lol.
This bodybuilder I was talking about was unnaturally strong, he could outlift any powerlifter his size.  He was just a freak. I take it you have seen Platz's 500lb 23rep video?  Some guys are just like that. But I suspect Platz was not a naturally strong individual,  he just outworked everybody. Anyways, cheers. I'm going to have a beer before my anabolic window closes.

I'm good friends with a Top 10 national level light heavy who uses ZERO GH. I see you are a fan of GH15 though.

So he has a belly of the guys of the 80's and early 90's then? Because no one in the top 10 national level has that ::)

I would LOVE to post a pic of this dude...such a sick physique...but obviously im gonna respect his privacy. Tiny ass joints and round muscle bellies, just doesn't have the freak size to crack through the Top 5. But he's one of the most structurally perfect amateurs I've ever seen. Not an abuser by any means. In fact we joke about a lot of the cycles that get advised on here.

There was always someone better than Palumbo. The only thing he did at a professional level was get shredded. His shape was and is shit. Injection sites everywhere, and an average poser at best. He never deserved a pro card.

And he didn't drop out of medical school.....he got kicked out.

First time hearing this...details???

A few years back there were threads all over this....RXMuscle deleted them immediately as did MD although I don't know why MD did.

He got caught stealing shit from a lab or something like that....it could have been another students paper for all I know. Dave even posted to defend himself and said he wasn't stealing...he was "borrowing". The threads were funny as hell because some amateur sleuth did some digging and contacted the school Dave attended.....it was verified that he was expelled.

I've never seen a thread get taken down so fast....anyone who posted screen shots of that thread were "banned" from RX. I swear every moderator was called at home and told to get online immediately. The best was when Dave tried to defend himself. A few years later Romano confirmed it.

It makes sense though.....who the fuck drops out of med school.

I'm sure if you do some digging something will turn up. I personally believe he was kicked out. He's a lying schmuck.

If he said eight for four, he's a total liar.

Coleman's squat that you reference is way high, in my opinion. Of course, yeah, many rogue feds these days pass squats that are ridiculous.

Platz is a natural squatter, structure-wise. He hit 12 with 635 a month before one of his later Os, too. CRAZY freak. But drugs were his fuel and without ... well, he isn't much.

Palumbo at his biggest would have gotten crushed to dust under eight.

LOL seriously?
I have no doubt this has to be true
He is a total liar, he gives medical advice on his show based on a cursory knowledge of webmd

No wonder he fosters so much resentment towards the medical community

He harbors resentment towards the medical community because he never made it in the medical community.

Haha I'm half joking. But seriously, nobody really knows. I've known a lot of national level guys, some even good friends of mine,  who either don't use GH or use tiny doses, less than 6IU a day. Funny thing is the guys at my gym who claim the 20IUs are the worst physiques

Nobody knows?  In all fairness some of us do...I personally know one IFBB pro....and quite a few guys on the NPC national level.  My liver is near failing just being around them!!!!
