Ask Dave...
« Reply #204 on: June 27, 2012, 09:56:46 AM »
In response to the popular radio segment "Ask Dave" dreamed up by Aaron Singerman so that he can espouse the incredible intelligence of his idol.

Why not ask questions for Dave on getbig and see if Aaron has the balls to ask his mentor any of these questions rather than the ridiculous filtered questions submitted by listeners written by Aaron 5 minutes before the show starts.

We all know they both read this board so let's see how much credibility the "truth in bodybuilding" actually has.

I'll  start.

1) Why did you sell fake GH to people?

2) Why do you tell people you "quit" medical school when you were expelled?

This is one of the worst ideas for a thread I've ever heard.

He already has his own thread for questions and answers on positive board  8)

But when someone asks him something, he deletes the question though  :-\

That is more what I had in mind..

Dave could you have prevented Derek Anthony's kidney failure with alkalinized water, grounding pads and "kidney stuff"? If so, why did you stand by and watch him murder his nephrons?

Strong guy with good base achieved with consistent hard basic compound lifts and a high protein diet. I hear he is at the conference right now and things are doing perfect. Should be home soon and update us on his travels.

Look, I used to be an editor at MMI, so I know beyond know that most of the poundage claims in the mags are pure horseshit.

As I say, an official (below parallel) squat with 850 is gigantic. Hell, check out Coleman doing, what, eight-something ... ? ... He isn't close to legal depth.

A 300-pound bodybuilder hitting good reps with five or six plates is more than impressive. If he can do one or two legal reps with seven or more, AMAZING. Like, way amazing.

" ... (I watched a) Mr Canada competitor squat 7 plates for an easy couple of reps with no warm up, no wraps and he was only 230."

Don't buy it. Not to anything resembling a legal depth. IPF-style. I have been in hardcore lifting gyms for 27 years and never have I seen a man squat anything more than around mid-sixes for a rep or two, raw. The very best raw squatters in the world, juiced to the hills, do somewhere around 7-800, generally. In a meet after peaking their training.

To squat to rails set so the deepest point puts you one or two inches higher than true parallel is not even remotely the same as sitting down to a full squat.

An 850 squat is a freakish feat.

Just by default of all the drugs and hormones floating through his system, Palumbo was a strong dude. But 850 is outlandish.

Three hundred pounds bodyweight is nothing when considering the crushing ferocity of an 800 pound barbell strapped across your back.

The very best doing nine or more use gear that literally puts hundreds of pounds on the performance.

Anyone who can squat a set of 10 with 500 is hugely strong. A true freak, regardless of drug use or not.

I see a guy in his mid-thirties squat 500 for 10-12 DEEP reps every week. Tells me he only uses 300 tren and 300 test enanthate a week. Think he's lying to fuck but wahtever. He weighs about 110kg at maybe 5 10 and he is very lean. He used to be 125kg and did a 400kg squat equipped - I've seen the vid.
