This video reminds me of a deadlift set I did a couple years ago, had a very thin bar, felt funny, looked flimsy, nevertheless it was 45lb olympic bar, started 1 plate, 2, 3, 4,5, plates, no problem, then I put 6 plates and a 25 on each side, took it off the rack, took 2 steps backwards, first rep hit the floor, came back up no problem, second rep, half way up a damn plate and a 25 flies off one side, then 2 plates and a 25 fly off the other, then I dropped it and my 2 friends and I nearly pissed our pants in laughter. They fell off cause the bar was bending like crazy and the plates slid off both ends at the same time, now when I deadlift I make sure the bars I use our the thick ones.
