Not sure where you got that info. If your looking for the toughest guys around, thats your best bet. Not talking people who attend classes. The guys that are fighting and coaching. Big difference.
You want to be exhausted and humiliated...try sparing a few pro or high level amateur fighters. A lot better than the attitudes of the thug gangster wannabe tough guys.

Yea Yea Yea...one thing that is really funny to me about MMA fans and competitors is the fact that they are so passionate about their 'sport' that they will DIE to defend it's honor.

I know. I 'rolled' with a up and comming UFC guy who is on 'Ultimate Figter' on Spike t.v. all the time...I woke up more sore than I ever been and lost like 3 lbs after an hour of sparring and rolling. That isn't the point...

The point is I don't care how bad TITO is or CHUCK is or MATT or JERAMEY is...they may be bad...they may be quick but they will get OWNED every single time by a 9...TECH 9, that is. Let me spit a little rhyme for you...

hahahaha, I agree. Most MMA fighters are some of the most humble people you meet. They learn that discipline and respect through their training and aren't conditioned to be some thug like the idiots running around on the street with their 3rd grade education and welfare checks.

So working hard to gain experience within a particular professional field while also attaining a college degree and building a legitimate business based off that foundation of earned knowledge and experience and eventually becoming a respected husband, father and member of your community and maturing to a ripe old age with your family and quality, genuine friends wasn't an appealing life path?

Here's another perspective: avoid having children while still a child (money saver), stay in school and avoid drawing unnecessary attention from deliquent classmates, work 1-2 jobs sackin groceries/stocking/etc, save earnings for 12-24 months within a savings account, locate inexpensive 1-bedroom apartment on other side of town, lease said apartment, find similar job(s) on other side of town......hood escaped. TA-DA!!!!

While I agree with what you are saying, I don't think it is quite that easy for "gangbangers" to realize this. I'm assuming you live somewhere where gang life is pretty nonexsistent as do I. I've grown up in Des Moines, Iowa where I wouldn't be afraid to walk alone at night on any street and no "real" thugs exsist. They're all wannabes and get laughed at. However, if you are born and raised in the "hood" you don't really know any better until you're in your late teens. And most times, it's too late by then. Everyone has a choice in what they do with their life, but kids that are born in the projects can't help it. I'm not condoning thug life or standing up for gang activity, but I do know that some people in certain parts of the country are doing what they got to do to survive and who I am to judge that? That's a whole different world that I've never had to experience so I don't look down upon anyone.
