Just saw TDKR at I-Max. The film looked great and in the realm of super hero movies, I would say is the first with such dark serious overtones. Nolan pulls it off well though, as meshing a super hero movie convincingly in such a way is not easy, especially one that convinces the audience of the vulnerability of the super hero. I felt the scenes of this movie flowed better than TDK, but where Heath Ledger's Joker added a lot of depth, Bane is much more one dimensional and generic.

The TDK will be heralded as the better film, but I was more into this one for a first viewing. I like it being such a dark and heavy film for a super hero movie. I would also say the action was the best of the three movies in the Trilogy. Most super hero movies are fun, this one isn't. In part, that might be why some might not like it the same as TDK. TDKR is epic.

Yes, indeed, but the best thing in this movie was Catwoman on the bike imo, The resurrection of Harvey Dent (my favorite villain), and with the Penguin-cameo.

Nice nod to Killer-Croc as well!

Watched TDKR last night. I guess I was expecting more. Was not impressed. As smart as Batman is, why didn't he blow Baine to hell on the rooftop from his copter? Sure would have went along way to making the movie seem less like 5 hrs.

While I do not often agree with you on many things... On this, I do.

There were a lot of "Un-Batman" like things that went down.

When Val Kilmer and George Clooney were sitting at the restaurant that Bruce Wayne was in, that was classy. Same as having Jim Carrey working the question desk at the airport. Cute how they put the question mark above him. I heard they wanted Arnold to be an ice salesman, but he was busy filming the expendibles II.

Yes that was pure ingenuity, love that Nolan really wanted to pay ~~homo~~homage to those old characters and was able to cram in so many ~~dicks~~cameos.
