Gonna run 10 wks test E first cycle, also gonna run var but I want to backload it so I can run it into week 11 and 12 before I start the PCT.

Question:

How many days do I have to count back from when PCT starts to take my last dose of var? i.e. if test ends on day x, I start PCT on day x+14, when can my last var dose be? I thought it was 3 days before PCT but wasn't positive.

Oh and also on another note: assuming I'll need letro, what's a good dosage to start with mg/day or EOD? Same with adex.

Orals are out of your system quickly, so PCT-2/3d should be fine.

AI doses (assuming you're talking about on cycle) depend on the amount of possibly aromatizing gear you're running and your proneness to estrogenic sides.
Anastrozole (Adex) is usually taken at doses of .5mg eod up to 1mg eod. Letrozole is a bit lower iirc, .25-.5 eod. But it really depends, you won't get around some trial and error to find the right dose for your needs. Sure fire way to do it would be regular blood work.

Thanks for the quick/to the point info, bev.

One more Q I'll just keep in this topic instead of making another one. Gonna be my first cycle and I really don't know how to change my training or eating habits accordingly. I'm 5'11" 202 14% right now and I take in roughly 3.5k cals a day. I work out 5x a week for about an hour and a half of day and I kill myself with volume already. I know a lot of guys say to up your volume and don't go crazy with upping the weights because that's how tendon and ligament damage happens but I'm not exactly sure what to do.

Are you pretty much maintaining your weight on 3500kcal a day? If so, I'd stick with it. You should get a nice recomp effect out of your gear. If you want to get a bit leaner, try reducing your intake once you start taking the Var for leaning out/hardening up in the final weeks. Don't go overboard with the kcal, you'll just end up doing more harm than good with it.

If your current split is working for you as it is, it will work even better on steroids. But to be honest, I've seen a lot of (naturals) doing 5 day splits with insane volume and never getting anywhere. And the worst part was that they deluded themselves into thinking it works (not saying that's the case with you, just a general observation).

Problems with tendons and joints can indeed occur when you make big jumps in working weight. That doesn't mean it has to happen. In fact I'd say it's rather rare, unless you make really, really crazy strength gains (can't quantify really, also again: depends on your prerequisite). Also note that Oxandrolone reportedly helps with tendon/connective tissue recovery.

Yeah actually I'm pretty much set at this 202 14% eating how I do daily. I can easily manipulate water up or down to 206 - 196 but if I'm really just hitting around my 3.5k cals a day my weight never moves. I'm pretty sure I'm at my natural limit at this point, 3 years in 100% dedicated with training.

The 5 day split definitely works best for me (I've tried literally almost everything) but I've pretty much hit the wall which is why I'm really to take the dive. A nice recomp would be awesome, but really don't know what to expect. Either way I assumed bumping the cals much higher than that wouldn't be that great of an idea from a practical standpoint anyway.

Sounds good but do more research on the 10 week cycle. I would go way longer then that. As long as blood work is good (you are getting blood work, right?) keep going. The 10 week on 10 week off stuff really isnt the best way to go for long term muscle.

To be honest with you I'm doing it more as a "I want to try everything once"...not planning on doing any more cycles after this anyway...just gotta see what all the hype is about. That being said I have been researching for 1.5 years and training for 3 so I'm definitely ready for it.

That's how I was when I first started... Let me do a cycle and see what happens!  Nec
Next thing I was doing was always planning on my next cycle.  10 weeks on, 12 off, then repeat!

Now. I am a little safer, limit is 2 ten week cycles a year, and I maintain the same weight (roughly) year round.

Ha yeah I know that's what everyone keeps telling me, but I'm a student with limited resources as it is plus I don't want to keep pushing my luck legally...not worth it for me. I'm actually happy with my lifts and look right now and would be fine returning to them post cycle after a while...like I said, just wanna see how it goes Tongue

But anyway back to the diet and training question...

galen - all duly noted.

As far as training, what would you suggest? Like I said, my body is "used to" a very high volume 5 day bb style split...would you just do the same as I've been doing and more or less treat the cycle like a recomp? Or do 2 a days? Or up the volume each session even though I already do 20-24 sets for big muscle groups, natty?
