Good role model for even guy's in their mid 30's who think their over the hill.
Worked with a few older gentlemen, in their upper 50's to mid 60's and one at 72 years of age. Most just want to cut fat, contain their present muscle mass or even increase it a bit, like any other average BB'ers would, no matter the age. They all make progress, though not always at the same rate.
The common factor seems to be brief workouts, because the object is not to over tax the CNS, as far as recovery and progress goes. Never big on supplements (though a good quality vitamin-mineral tab may be useful) , for any BB'er, but for the last few years I find that these older men (an a few serious women) have made steady gains with Nitric Oxide(NO) Creatine and a better quality bio active protein. NO Creatine before a workout and NO/Creatine, mixed in water, with whey protein, after a workout. Some also take just the Creatine in the evening before bed time. Good Luck.
