Chains and bans are not required to increase maximal strength by any means, and are quite pointless. Lifting submaximal weights at maximal speed  with accomodated resistance using chains and bands like he does with his athletes  is for looney tunes...

LOL, ya but seriously not kissing your ass or anything bro but I consider you probably the most knowledgeable guy here on couching and training and of course for athletic performance and training methods are important but all I am saying that they are not the bread and butter of achieving strength gains.

Like a bodybuilder, he needs to train and he needs to eat to getbig of course that is a given but the genetic elite in strength did not get to world class strength from some lousy training program, I am sorry but they didn't, they had the gentics and the mentality to supercede their limits and to be frank training had very little to do with it, I know it sounds stupid but it is true.

I ran a marathon in 09 and it took me slightly over 4 hours (i know pathetic) now the guy that won did it in less then 3 hours (I think 2;40 or something). Anyway the guy did not run different them me and had I done everything he did in training, would have not made a difference bro. The body functions instinctively and genetically at a world class level, some secret training does not produce the world class athlete, it simply doesn't, these guys are born great and training is just a marginal mandatory tool, nothing more.

I couldn't finish a marathon in 4 weeks let alone 4 hours :-\

Yes, because GH15 told you everything....   ::)  I would love for you to tell the guys at EliteFTS they don't know their shit either.

I would bet that you wouldn't have half the totals you do if you weren't pumping more shit in your body than the winner of the Kentucky Derby son.

Oh hell yes. They also know if they don't like it they are free to leave. If it didn't work they wouldn't stay. Do you think if those methods didn't work, the elites at Elitefts wouldn't use them.as well?

As far as I know Louie has changed his ways......I was referring to the classic westside system. 1 max effort day, one dynamic effort day using weights at 50-60 percent of 1rm at maximal speed for 8-10 sets of doubles...followed my specialization work. I have no idea what goes on at westisde as of 2012....Im referring to old westside, guys who trained there in the 90's and early 2000's..... I know guys that have  left there, and felt they improoved.

 As for the guys at EFS what does that mean? Half the guys on there hate Louie....even ones that trained at  westside. Only guy I know over there that  preaches his old methods is Tate....

I'm surprised everyone's so crazy about 315lb. Its really not that impressive like it used to be. I've seen quite a few guys including myself handling that at the gym no problem.

for any one on steroids, big or small it's not impressive at all..

for any natural it's very good especially if you are a small guy like me lol.. dont tell me every natural guy who is 80 kg can do it for 3 reps.. now at 75 kg i can do it for 2 reps..

when i was 21 i was bench pressing 145 kg/320 lbs for one rep and a friend of mine who is naturally much bigger than me and one year younger was bench pressing 140 kg/310 lbs for one rep.. then he started to take steroids,.. after one year i was still pressing 320 lbs and my friend was pressing believe it or not 240 kg/530 lbs for one good rep..
