Because it's fun?

A 5k may seem like a challenge to someone who needs to sit at machine to hit side delts, but to people who can actually move, it's not really a test.

What you said is just dumb beyond belief. If you can run a fast 5K you can run a fast mudder race.

What you just said is dumb beyond belief, or you just have no idea what you're talking about.

Running a little over 2 miles at a good pace does not mean you can do a 10 mile Tough Mudder.  It's not in the same universe.

Even if you're really good at "fighting" through the lactic acid burn a serious set of tricep kick backs can generate.

I am doing these races for purpose to be motivated to train and stick to a reasonable diet.

I might do another BB show - but these seem more interesting to me right now since the training requires more tools and bases to cover.

So if you can run a good 10 mile race you would suck doing a 10 mile mudder.  Just stupid.

You said a 5K dipshit.   That's 3.1 miles, not 10.

how about this, go get a yoke, a plow, find an empty field. Muddy up said empty field, get under yoke and do a a "mud plow" as fast as you can.

Chances are no tough mudder will be a strenuous as that.

You seem to know a lot about getting your mud plowed.   Are there things?

no, it's something that I came up with. When I was watching the fields get plowed at my grandmother's farm. Granted they used a tractor. And I mentioned it months ago

But, think about it. A field, 100 yards long. Modified yokes, and a plow. A muddy field. You are wearing work boots. You race 1 or more people either to the end, or up and down. The mud, and the plow add resistance. Great cardio and a quad workout at the same time.

No doubt it would be ridiculously hard.

I'm getting shoulder surgery on Feb 1, just found out today.  Tough Mudder in May will be difficult, but I already paid the cash, so I'm going to have to make it work.

How bad were the electroshocks at Tough Mudder during the electric eel and the electroshock therapy?
How bad was the arctic enema?
My buddies and I are doing a TM in exactly 2 weeks from today (Miami)
Not looking forward to those shocks and that ice.

What are they wrapped in?  Is it just to make a 30lb backpack?

Gorilla Tape and bubble wrap.    Then have to add water bladder and some food and windbreaker etc.

They already have a Facebook page up for my event and some cool dudes there all doing the spartan race at Citifield and Tuxedo and mudder, etc.
