I want to say that I read somewhere this scene went way off script and ended up being more improvisation.
Also, there is so much about Training Day that makes that movie. Ethan Hawke did great but was so overly shadowed by Denzel it was ridiculous. Just the way he was saying "Jake" has such contempt to it.
absolutely. ive never seen such chemistry and spark between 2 actors, playing their roles perfectly of course. that flick is amazing on so many levels, deep, deep stuff. and the uss Indianapolis scene from Jaws always gave me goosbumps. when i first watched that scene it moved me, enough for me to research what really happened those 3 days they spent out there fearing for their lives.

the end of "there will be blood" is easily one of the absolute greatest scenes, shame i can't find a clip of the whole thing any longer

This movie has numerous scenes that are legendary but this one here is very important because though it as made 36 years ago, it predicted how media would be today and they were on the money. I'll create a thread about later, I wanted to for a while. Sit back, open your mind, watch and more importantly, listen.
