The Los Angeles Lakers went into the All-Star break on a poor note, and Kobe Bryant is not happy about it.
The Lakers were blown out by the Los Angeles Clippers 125-101 at Staples Center Thursday night in the NBA’s last game before the All-Star break. The contest was showcased by TNT as the second half of what was expected to be a great doubleheader. Much like the first game, this one wasn’t close, much to Kobe’s dismay.
“I’m not happy right now and hopefully my teammates feel the same way. You have to reflect on how important this is to you and what it means to you,” Bryant said, per Lee Jenkins at SI.com.
“After we lose by 20 or 30 points we definitely can’t be laughing and joking around,” added Bryant.Though Kobe didn’t mention any teammates by name, it’s pretty obvious he was talking about Dwight Howard, who was shown by TNT smiling and joking with some Clippers players after the game ended. A few other Lakers were shown nearby talking with the Clippers, so Howard wasn’t the only one, but his smile and good mood following such a pathetic performance seemed out of place.
Maybe Howard isn’t as different from Andrew Bynum as we thought. Notice any similarities with this picture?
