Much like the RB position in the NFL, the big man has been devalued in today's NBA. Teams watched how Golden State went small in the finals & will try to replicate that.

I actually only saw Okafor play a couple times this year, and never saw the guy from OSU at all. Okafor looked really good in those games though.

I don't think so. His best attribute is back to the basket offense which the league as a whole is going away from. In addition, he's a poor defender and a poor rim protector. Also, we just drafted Julius Randle last year #7 who is an offensive minded power forward. Thus, the Lakers can not afford to have another offensive big man who is a poor defender. Get a guard (Russell) who can compete with Westbrook, Harden, etc and then hope to land one of the 4 big men that are free agents.

I don't think Kamminsky will ever be more than an average pro.

If anything, the kid drafted by Miami at #10 will be much, much better

Most of these draft picks won't even make it on a starting roster. Didn't Kentucky have 7 people in this draft and only 4 I think were picked. Stupid kids could have went back for another year and started to show their worth. Now they are worthless punks.

I don't remember the details but I think only the top 15 picks get guaranteed contracts. It's fairly common for late second-round "draft picks" to not make the team's roster at all.

Funny video. Reminds me several years back was in Vegas with a bunch of buddies. Me and one of my friends who is tall too went to the buffet and the cashier asked if we were with the basketball team. There was a college tournament going on at the time and lots of college teams there. We said no but we should have been like yes in hopes of getting a free meal.

I think he's going to get torched by the guards out west (Westbrook, etc.). Wasn't too impressed with him in college. Seemed slow and unathletic, etc. Though options are limited nowadays with so many players that come out that aren't ready.
