Andy Reid FIRED

The 14-year head coaching tenure of Andy Reid has ended, the Philadelphia Eagles announced on Monday morning.

The organization’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Lurie will hold a press conference at noon today at the NovaCare Complex. We will hold a special edition of Eagles Live! at 11 AM, which you can watch live on PhiladelphiaEagles.com or on our mobile app. Lurie will discuss the decision to dismiss Reid, who led the Eagles to six NFC East titles, five NFC Championship Games and an appearance in Super Bowl XXXIX.

"Andy Reid won the most games of any head coach in Eagles history and he is someone I respect greatly and will remain friends with for many years to come,” said Lurie. "But, it is time for the Eagles to move in a new direction. Coach Reid leaves us with a winning tradition that we can build upon. And we are very excited about the future.”

Reid joined the team in 1999 and immediately turned the fortunes of the franchise around in a positive direction with the implementation of a strong coaching staff, solid moves in free agency and the selection of quarterback Donovan McNabb. The Eagles reached the playoffs one season later, in 2000, the first of nine postseason trips in Reid’s 14 seasons leading the football operations.

His 140 victories are a franchise record and rank 22nd on the all-time NFL coaching list.

The Eagles concluded the 2012 season with a 4-12 record after their loss to the Giants on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.

"The search for the new coach of the Philadelphia Eagles will begin immediately," said Lurie.

I hope Andy takes a year off from football and takes time for him and his family. Lots of tragedy there for the man to sort through.

Teams will salivate to have him coach their teams. There will be no shortage of jobs for the man when he comes back. A bit of time away can recharge his batteries for the game, let him study some things he's not getting time to do, and be the creative genius that he is.

I predict good things for the team that picks him up. Unless it's Kansas City...Jesus couldn't coach them to a winning season.

lol...Not handling pressure is throwing INT's in critical situations...And Brett Favre is the king of doing just that. With the teams BF had, he should easily have 3 or 4 SuperBowls.

Throwing a pic in the red zone is the worst thing anyone on the field can do to hurt your team. Favre was notorious for doing just that. The media created the word gunslinger. They also tried to give Jay Cutler that title. And anyone watching Jay Cutler play QB can see he has an awesome arm but sucks as a QB. Favre, Cutler and Romo all have something in common. Tons of talent but throw the basics out the door when the pressure comes out them.

LMAO!!

Yes, very similar. In bodybuilding, we have men with striated and hard glutes posing in thongs. In football, we also have men with hard glutes, instead bent over and wearing extremely tight pants.

I can see the great appeal of both sports to many men on here.

I would go time traveler style on the choke artist Tony Romo.

I would go back in time, fuck his grandma, then shoot forward in time and then fuck his mom. Then return back to the present and call him the product of two incestuous whores and tell him he's my son and show him video of me plowing both members of his family.
