I think he could "anyhow" bench #505 for a single in a gym, but I would doubt it would pass at a real Powerlifiting meet. I think mid #400's for a legit paused bench with rules on foot, head, and ass position is more likely for him.

Here's a better look at the amount of short stoke on those contest reps -

heath should have won..freeman dint even touch his chest

225 x 74

Hahahaha I remember back reading an article in the Fort Worth Star Telegram where they did a piece on Ronnie Coleman after his first Olympia win and he claimed something like 225 for 82 reps.

Jesus, you got 225 X46 Mes? I dont flat bench but have done 225 X20 on incline and that's not even in the same ballpark. Props

Pretty sure it's always been around the 225 x 74, or whatever the story is. Thing is I dont doubt much about Ronnie's strength claims. Just watch the vids, he enjoyed smashing big weight. Even though I never liked his build, I always knew he was a monster in the gym.

If he lied about 80% of the questions asked , why not say he benched 1000 LBS!? Those 2 don't know the difference and the ones that do know he already lied about being on the sauce

It's not like I could do half that many "reps" with 225 but those are not full reps.

he actually tried to get awayw ith that 1000lbs claim :D
nah comeon , rom was good enough.

maybe not powerlifting legit or perfect bodybuilders form, but good enough.
hm, i fond locking out easier.in a way.lock out and get some rest, then proceed ;D

"Good enough" for what?

For example if he did his supposed 505-lb max with that same ROM, would you say it counts?  I would certainly hope not.

I actually sort of believe him on the 505 since it's an unusual number.  You can usually tell someone is bullshitting on maxes if their supposed max is always 315/405/495 or if their supposed max reps with whatever weight is always ends in a five or a zero.

this alot of people  dont get this... when i hit 405 I have to lock out...... or that weight is not going up after the first rep... so for heavy poundage i lock out, for lighter ones i stop just short its harder by far

all dieted down, very lean, very light :-X  even tough i had all cheat meals in last 24 hrs and look full(already spilling over), the power isnt there yet again.and i can tell im severly severly ovetrained.

and it was perfect form towards end of the training instead of when "fresh".managed 18, not so bad considering the circumstances.

yes, thats a ton of excuses i know, but i cant do more than 30 even on a good day at this kind of bodyweight.if im 220lbs, yes, slightly more than 30.

will now take off a couple days of trainign and eat like a human being.then be back at it full force again 8)

spring is around the corner, gotta be sliced :D 8)

why get into contest condition if you dont compete... curious

Nasser displayed very good form and was rather slow with his reps.......so his 15 reps were rather respectable considering his controlled rep style.

just my 2 cents.

ah, mere personal goal, you know, like some others train for a maximum bench(i cant do that nomore with my old skeleton ;D ), i said lets go all the way on diet.

but its terrible and indeed not worth it unless competing.the "side effects" are:

-very aggressive , borderline asocial due to permanent hunger

-have to piss every 15 minutes

-tired all day, i mean, very tired.

-feeling of weakness, like tired to walk.

-to top it off, insomnia.

couple pounds fatter everythings fine, though.

i admire you dedication i could never diet like that....lifes too short.. ;D

yes,it requires some mental strenght, but the rolemodels are picked.

hamdi is as lean year round, the shock when i first time saw him in person, right next to me, that shock never went away.

ever since i said "i want that too"

 :D

its quite tremendous what the difference is between staying at 8% and getting down to 5-6%.

always i say to myself, it wont be that bad, lets do it, and every time, it gets much worse than i thought ;D

who is hamdi?

one of my things i live by is moderation and i dont start what i cant maintain....
....
how long will you keep that up for

hamdullah aykutlug, look him up :D

upkeeping, i try at all times, when i go off, i just deflate like baloon, but atleast still lean :D

i sometimes go off training for a while randomly too, to give a mental break.but other than that, something like current shape is what i am for year round.

easy maintainable hrt everyday physique ;D

Hrt?
weeks the most off training ,
all the diet stuff couldnt do that i eat healthy anyway....

I used to do 225 for 20 every chest workout for my last set! The most reps I have ever gotten was 23 it was always at the end of flat bench! I never benched more than 350!
