No convict here, just not stupid.

How about having your freedom, possessions, loved ones taken away and being stuffed 4 to a cell where you will be spending your life for the next 5 years being told when you can eat, when to sleep and living in subhuman conditions ? Maybe that sounds like a good time to you, not me

5- no diaper changes

6- no crying babies

7- no diaper changes

8- no constant meltdowns

9- no diaper changes (all day long with multiple kids needing diaper changes)

10- no constant smell of diapers that need changing: constantly rushing in and grabbing a kid with a leaky diaper while other kids are crying and/or watching super loud kids shows and also needing diaper changes

11- no kid meltdowns because they want to watch kid shows even though you need to change their diapers

12- no doing homework again even though you swore you would never do home work again, but now you have to do it better because it's not your homework, it's your KID'S home work and you have to get it right and it feels like it's going to give you a stroke

fuck i really pray for miscarriage

I bet I could bench and curl like crazy with a little PCP in my system.   They should put that shit in pre-workout drinks
seriously, that is the way they feel. Like they can Bench or curl the world.

later, bro, have shift change at work 8)

Not sure if you've said before, what work do you do now? Did a criminal record affect your employment in Switzerland?

i came off gear cold turkey straight into prison for couple months once, and i came out quite big anyway.

most shit food one could imagine, no gym, squating guys during the 1 hour daily walk.shoulder pressing the twinks , curling water filled bottles, side raises with the same bottles.dips on bed etc.

genetics.in prison the whaet gets separated from the chaff.

same for social skills, when theres no rules and youre already in there, it shows quickly who is loudmouth and whos not.

What did you notice?

well, we....

have jobs where we SiT most the day.

when we're not sitting, we're laying down in our bunk watching tv/reading/writing.

get fed 3x/day starchy meals.

trade food we don't want for protein-foods (like egg's, chicken pieces, sausages, ect...)

smuggle powdered milk and powdered eggs from the kitchen.

eat 2-5 jars of peanut butter per week.

get rec-yard/weightlifting every day... twice on weekends.

........... so to recap, we #1 eat a lot of food #2 lay on our ass all day when we're not at work #3 train hard with freeweights 5-6 days a week.

soo.... Food + Rest = you grow... and usually so does your waistline.

now.... with prison, you have A LOT of guys who have GREAT GENETICS that would NEVER have known they had GREAT genetics for muscle, if they hadn't gone to prison and started lifting weights.

less possessions equal less stress. Not having to pay bills and get to workout and sleep all day is not stressful at all.

HTexan is right. Prisoners do not suffer the type of stress that lowers testosterone - bills, kids, abnormal sleeping patterns, erratic diet etc.. However, they do suffer from the type of the stress that is proven to increase testosterone levels : heightened danger, heightened awareness,  fear of death, fight or flight response etc..

Really...LOL.

Kids : you can't see your kids and will miss a huge part of their life, no stress there

Bills : you just lost your job and took 20 steps backwards in life...and your car, house and any other outstanding bills you have will go into default, and you will come out with nothing but fucked up credit.....no stress there.

Diet ; prison food is garbage

Sleep: the reason prisoners sleep so much if they are clinically depressed, because they know they are fucked.

You people really can't be this stupid...google "stressful life events"

Actually what I posted is scientifically verified. I didn't say prisoners don't suffer from stress. I said that they suffer types of stress that are shown to increase testosterone as opposed to types that lower it. I suggest you do the Google searches, actually.

Increase by what ? .025 % ?   post these studies.

Prison is monumentally stressful, in a negative way.... people hang themselves when facing long jail terms.

depends on what person you are

some prisoners cant deal with the prospect of being released

and commit any crime asap to get back to their beloved prison

The S.H.U.

try it. It won't fit well

About 70% of all prisoners return to prison. Amazing.

You wonder, is it because they become instantaneously "institutionalized" or is it b/c they just can't stay away from what it is that put them there in the first place?

Working out for them is not perceived the same as it is for a civilian. They may stay in shape, get in shape, or not. It's not like they are planning to get out and compete in a BB contest, it's just a way to pass the time and try to release aggression.

For anyone here who thinks that they are NOT stressed out of their brains, think again. Just b/c you have not experienced it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. The prisoners that make it, especially with the younger generations who want to fight all the time, they are the ones who DON'T show what's really going on inside (their heads)

Weakness is a sign of, well, weakness. It puts a price on your head and a target on your back. You will be toast in a matter of a few easily calculated hours.

The big guys in prison are the prison guards. They are the ones who workout and have the connections. They also deal with many of the same stresses as the prisoners do. It is not a job for everyone.

They just get to go home at night, but they work behind those walls in lockup too. Depressing, to say the least.

"New federal statistics reveal that the number of mentally ill inmates in U.S. prisons and jails has quadrupled over the past six years, Human Rights Watch said today. More than half of all prison and state inmates now report mental health problems, including symptoms of major depression, mania and psychotic disorders, according to a just-released federal Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) report, Mental Health Problems of Prison and Jail Inmates.

In 1998, the BJS reported there were an estimated 283,000 prison and jail inmates who suffered from mental health problems. That number is now estimated to be 1.25 million. The rate of reported mental health disorders in the state prison population is five times greater (56.2 percent) than in the general adult population (11 percent).

Women prisoners have an even higher rate of mental health problems than men: almost three quarters (73 percent) of all women in state prison have mental health problems, compared to 55 percent of men."

You think these people really have the mental fortitude to work out enough to really make a difference? Most of them are either obese like Tank Abbot or they look like Auschwitz struck again ~
