Explain what?... muscle physiology and biomechanics? -lol
All PT's are there for is to hold the clients hand and count reps.
Its that type of thinking that seperates shitty pts and those of us who have successful careers as trainers.
You have to understand the majority of people who have trainers arnt bodybuilders. Most people have that same thinking/opinions of trainers. Ill give them a feee session and theyre expecting me to walk them from machine to machine and count reps inbetween checking facebook, but instead I'll explain what theyre gona do and why. Sometimes using proper terminology and then explaining it in a way that they understand (layman's terms) & you that ligjtbulb go off& they realize theyre not just having somebody change the pin on their weigjtstack, they're also getting an education. Make it clear to them the goal is to teach them things so that one day they no longer need me... But the more they learn, the more they realize they don't know. And that is why they continue to stay on as clients.
Thats why i have clients remain with me for 5, 6+ years & how ive been able to do this for over 17years..
