I agree, since what I've seen about Shaq's strength training is extremely unimpressive.

How will gear help him get down to 270 lbs?

I also checked the NBA rules and regulations. They're testing. So he shouldn't be using steroids. If he is, then he's a cheater. So steroids are out of the question IMO.

This 270 talk is stupid, he came in to the league at 21 at 305, he was under 10%bf.No way he ever gets to 310 again in his career let alone 270.

Shaq is relatively lean, all of the talk about his weight is bullshit Don't mistake size with fat. He's got 3 rings and will go down as one of the 50 all time greatest NBA players. As far as Riley goes, people look at his reume through rose colored glasses. He won championships in the 80's with GREAT players. He did nothing special when he coached the Heat in the 90's!

Oh yeah and he stabbed Van Gundy(a good coah) in the back so he could coach Mr "He needs to lose weight" O'neal. Fuck Riles

One of the 50 all time greatest. I think he may be one of the 25 greatest. But that's a matter of opinion, of course.

Still, had the stupid fcuk not been so focused on bulking up, he would've been lean and mean, practically unstoppable. But the guy had to go for the bigger is better.

And can be dominated by Tim Duncan, which is laughable IMO. Something I thought was unthinkable in the past.

I think it's too late. And Shaq doesn't have the desire, either.

He's just a fcuking Kazaam.

I'd aim to cut him up while making the mass he has more solid and dense.

That combined with the strength training would make him stronger, more explosive and sleeker, versatile.

He should have done this probably his 4th year or so.....when his body could still take the pounding.

Agreed. Any coach could have won with, Magic, Kareem, Worthy, Cooper, McAdoo, Wilkes, Scott, Nixon, Lucas, and the list goes on....

Considering his college playing weight......getting back to 300lbs is a real reach, but possible.

He'd have to lay off the bulking regiment and change up his style.

I am not sure of their relationship -- but he was one of a few special guest there. That singer Marc Anthony or whatever was there as well and Andy Garcia. I am sure there were more -- but Shaq really stood out -- had this pimping white tux on.

shaq at 270-LOL. shaq at 270 would struggle to put up 15 points and 8 rebounds a game. you know why? because shaq's ENTIRE GAME is based on his incredible size.
he barely has any basketball skill....any middle school basketball player could shoot freethrows better than him.
he cannot shoot AT ALL from further than 6 feet from the hoop...99% of his points are on dunks and layups, which he gets by simply backing the defender out of the way with his HUGE ASS.
no shooting skills, no dribbling skills, no speed, all size...shaq playing in the NBA is and has always been like a dad playing with his preteen sons....no skill but gets points and rebounds because hes so much more massive.
he was at his most dominant when he was biggest. make shaq as fat as possible while still being able to run the court, and he will get his numbers.

Half the reason I started weight training was because I was getting pushed around on the court by older guys who weighed more. At 6'4" (if that) and 110kgs I can still dunk two hands off two feet without a run up. Shaq is fine.
