LOL...

We're all celebrating the effectiveness of martial law upon a major US city, and begging for more cameras.

Obama is dancing today :) It would have been over in a few hours if the cops had just searched the boat with a bloody tarp in the backyard of the guy on the news with video of the gun battle lol...
They could have fucking subbed 5 bloodhounds for the 15,000 Barneys and got it done by noon without strip searching 70 year olds in the street and costing a billions fucking bucks ::)

But the show of force was important... We'll all learn why soon enough I'm guessing....

The message and response has to be STRONG as to dissuade future terrorist/bomb attacks.  The appearance of things do matter.

How does what happen dissuade anything?

If anything is shows that despite such a huge show of force and assets - almost anything can be pulled off at any time if you ask me.

A lot of it could also be CYA.

FBI would look COMPLETELY incompetent if they responded with 30 officers - the guy eluded them - and he ended up blowing up a school bus full of orphans on their birthday or something lol.

Nobody would complain if they OVER react.  Better safe than sorry, etc.  History will examine how they handled it... better to be overkill than another Katrina inept response.

My guess is that the people on the ground were just scared, tired, and did a shitty job, ASSUMING he was long gone.  The fact it took them 2 hours, once they found him, probably shows how much micro-mgmt was going on.  IN the old days, you find the guy, you go in.  Today they had to get approval, request things... they probably let the choice guys be on the 'team' that personally brought him down.

So a lot it it being CYA... "Let's get 10,000 cops here now!" is just to look like they're competent.

LOL @ MSNBC doing a nice piece on how safe Londoners ere thanks to cameras.

Yep.  To the world, the USA is all nukes, bases, JDAms, and ass kicking.   We can't look soft on domestic either.  IF this jagoff was just round 1 of a series of attacks, or he had 10 friends with similar plans, then all of those cops would have been a good thing.

No I didn't, you simply stated "Religion is for control of the self".

Kind of strange how you are in the 1% who interprets religion correctly.
You use the key words i look for when to throw someones responses out the window. These consist of, but are not exclusive to: Programming, controllers, NWO, Illuminati, Rothschilds, Jesus, God, etc... That being said i don't have religious beliefs but religion does serve a purpose. Mainly the aspect of prayer and what it does to the mind when practiced correctly. Now lets see how you ram this into your contorted view of the world. You sound like a bitter Ron Paul supporter.

The premise of "deterrence" is not completely unreasonable. Crimes are often about opportunity.

That said, yes, it does seem slightly messed up that even with black ops guys floating around, 2 clowns were able to blow up a relatively large event and cause so much damage and interrupt peoples lives for so long.

Suspected Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev attended a Massachusetts mosque that made a controversial deal with a Boston city agency that allowed it to buy land at a lower-than-market price in exchange for various token services to the Boston community, despite the mosque’s links to some radical anti-American figures

The 19-year-old Tsarnaev attended mosque at the Islamic Society of Boston (ISB) in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The Daily Caller reported Friday that the ISB hosted at its satellite cultural center a book signing April 6 featuring British journalist Victoria Brittain, who has criticized the United States and United Kingdom for waging a “war against Islam” in its anti-terrorism efforts.

The construction of that cultural center, which opened in Roxbury, Massachusetts in 2004 near Roxbury Community College, was marked by a controversial apparent “government subsidy” from the city of Boston to the ISB.

The Boston Redevelopment Authority, which is the city’s municipal planning agency and which is comprised of mayoral appointees, conveyed the land for the ISB’s purchase in 2000 at more than $400,000.

However, the city of Boston only charged ISB $175,000 for the land, with an agreement that the ISB perform other services for the city to make up the $225,000 remainder. The ISB agreed to deliver a series of lectures at Roxbury Community College, to assist the Roxbury Community College Foundation in its fundraising efforts, and to maintain a Boston “play area.”

The deal was later described in media coverage as “an apparent financial handout” and a “possible government subsidy” from the city of Boston to the ISB.

The ISB has raised concerns in the past for its ties to radical figures in the Muslim world.

Islamic cleric Yusuf Abdullah al-Qaradawi, who said in a 1995 speech that Islam would “conquer America” and “conquer Europe,” reportedly appeared on IRS forms as one of the ISB’s trustees.

ISB trustee Walid Fitaihi, who wrote that Jews “would be punished for their oppression, murder and rape of the worshippers of Allah,” helped broker the ISB’s deal with the Boston Redevelopment Authority.

The Unsolved Murder Of Brendan Mess, The Reported 'Best Friend' Of The Dead Boston Bombing Suspect

Joe Weisenthal|Apr. 20, 2013, 12:28 PM|774|

The most intriguing nugget in the big Boston Globe profile of the Brothers Tsarnaev (the brothers suspected of carrying out the attack on the Boston Marathon) is this one.

Gym owner Allan said that Tamerlan had once introduced him to an American, Brendan Mess, whom Tamerlan described as his best friend.

Two years ago, Mess and two other men were brutally killed in a Waltham apartment where they were found by police with their throats slit and their bodies covered with marijuana. The murders remain unsolved.

Nobody states that there's a connection, but obviously now everyone's wondering if there is one.

The murders were a big deal at the time, due to the disturbing, gristly nature of the crime.

This video made by the local CBS affiliatue captures the reaction.

As months went by without a resolution, the case got more attention.

From The Braindeis university paper in November 2011:

Nearly two months after police officers rushed to 12 Harding Ave. on a September afternoon and found three men dead in a triple homicide; nearly two months after reporters from every Boston TV station stood behind the yellow crime scene tape, surrounded by flashing red and blue lights, demanding updates from Middlesex District Attorney Gerard Leone and airing interviews with neighbors on the nightly news; and nearly two months after three men under the age of 40 were stabbed to death in the neck just three miles from Brandeis University, law enforcement is still searching for answers, officials said Thursday.

The seasons have turned since the warm night on Sept. 12 when detectives began an investigation into the triple murder of Brendan Mess, 25, of Waltham; Erik Weissman, 31, of Cambridge; and Raphael Teken, 37, of Cambridge, who graduated from Brandeis in 1998 and majored in history. Updates on the investigation have not been noticeable.

After describing the apartment that night as a “very graphic crime scene” Leone later released a statement saying that “based on the present state of the investigation, it is believed that the victims knew the assailant or assailants, and the attacks were not random.”

And a year later from the Waltham Patch (September 2012):

A year after the triple murder at 12 Harding Ave., investigators say they are still actively investigating the case and pursuing leads.

Today, Sept. 12, marks one year since the murders of Raphael Teken, of Waltham, Erik Weissman, of Cambridge and Brendan Mess, of Waltham, at 12 Harding Ave.

Nobody has been arrested in connection with the case and police never publicly named any suspects. Mess had been living in the second floor unit of the house.

“Solving this case remains a priority for this office. We have not forgotten about Brendan, Erik or Raphael. Our hope remains that we are eventually able to provide justice for the victims’ families,” said Stephanie Chelf Guyotte, the Middlesex District Attorney's office spokesman, in an email to Waltham Patch.

Almost certainly, this case will get renewed attention.

Dropped the ball ::)

What is this a sporting event

They fucked up an shut the entire city of Boston down for at least 16 hours because of it

None of their investigative worked

The bombers were fingered by the man who's legs were blown off

They were found first by the man who calls the police after they car jacked his SUV

The owner of the boat notified them he was in the boat

All this could of been handled with 2 officers

But nooooooo they required over 700 to arrest one wounded 19yr old

All of this could have been handled by private citizens with guns.  Police force good for nothing but collecting fines.
