Sure, and how do you feel when he or similar create legislation banning homosexuals from adoption...you know 'to leave a legacy affecting the betterment of our children's future". It can happen. Central planning has always been a slippery slope towards fascism...don't let your agreement with one form of it's 'direct and manage' approach blind you. The moment you join the reductions of someone else's freedom is the moment you lose yours.
Don't misunderstand my statements.
I did not say that he is a great or even good mayor. Based on the selection that we had, he was the best option.
While I think he is the best we have to work with now, there are many things he does that I don't agree with.
Also, if you somehow think that we aren't already living in a fascist state, wake up and smell the coffee.
Corporations run this country. The senate is chosen from amongst the people to speak for the people, but instead of representatives that are willing to fight for the betterment of society, we have figureheads in Washington. Representatives that are sleeping with the lobbyists and only fighting for the rights and privileges of the corporations, the same corporations that keep them living the lavish lifestyle they have grown accustomed to, while guaranteeing permanent work within Washington (see the commonly used "Washington's revolving door" term".
We are in essence a fascist country parading around as capitalistic, but truthfully have socialism catering to the super rich or poor, while the middle class is subjected to the most brutal form of capitalism possible...
