The body is not that fragile of system. Think of it this way...if your friend was trapped under a car, would you say "hang on a sec...I have to warm up first" before trying to lift it off of them? If you are training with such huge heavy loads, do you not think your ligaments and tendons are strong enough to handle some repetitive lighter weight?
No I don't think they are and I will tell you why;
I have been banging out 365 on flat recently for reps of 8, last work out got 10 reps. Now I did 32 reps with 2 plates and gave out due to lactic acid, I can easily hit 38-40 but i need several workout, i know when I fail at 38-40 it's the muscle failing cause it still slowly moves for the last 3 reps and when it was the lactic acid it simply stopped on a dime, even if I dropped weight I couldn't continue cause it was not the muscle that failed.
It simply is not conditioned for this at the moment, i don't know exactly how to explain it but your body does need a few workouts to adjust to a different degree of training that much is certain.
