We need to get the brothers on getbig.  Can you just imagine the conversations?  These guys would give Falcon a real run for his money.

Which one of them is the now crazy and "sweeter" one?

Left one?

On the right. That’s Peter. The insane one.

David’s still sane.

David is saner but I think he's still off a little.  Have you seen his interviews with Shawn Ray?

Oh, he’s off, sure. But he’s not legit insane like his brother.

I’ve spent time with both. Lifting, going out for meals, etc.

They were two of the funniest fellas I’ve ever met.

I’m genuinely disturbed with what’s become of Peter.

In their day, the brothers were something. Huge and crazy strong. The first bodybuilders to grace the cover of PowerliftingUSA.

What blew his brain I wonder? I have seen LSD do this to people even after only a few doses. If you don't have much grey matter to begin with LSD can blow your brain to bits and put you on another wavelength.

I've yet to read all of the above, but I spent a full day with one of the brothers (I'll say that it was "Peter") and it was an enlightening experience.

We were in Gold's Venice and  we were involved in a brief conversation when Grymkowski's name and his current health entered the conversation, so Peter said, "Let's go find him and see how he is!"

So for the next few hours we drove around Venive and Santa Monica and eventually found ete having lunch lunch at one of the local coffee shops and found him to be in good health and glad to see us.

Aftr that meeting with Pete we somehow ended up on the Beachwalk and Peter asked me if I was aware that he/they had recorded an album
and immediatelt started to sing one of the songs as if I was auditioning him for an upcoming mudical.

That managed to draw the attention of a good size crowd of beach-goers
who, since they wern't seated, offered him a standing ovation.

Nothing crazy ... just a fun day in So Cal!

And ... the his brother managed to sell some type of puppet which he invented to the Disney empire.

And Keith once told me that the furnature in their Topanga Canyon home was all constructed from the POP Pier lumber which hd been destroyed by a fire.

And I'm wondering now if that  big LA fire hurt their Topanga Canyon residence.

You're lucky to have known them back in the day.  I'll bet they were cool to hang out with and crazy to lift with.  I remember as a kid seeing them in the mags wearing lumberjack clothes in the gym and lifting crazy weights.  Which one was the strongest?

I hung with them several years past their juiced prime. Peter was always the smaller of the two. “Smaller” being a relative term here. As well, I believe David was a degree stronger, too.

Funny stories with these guys.

One time one was literally stepping onto the side of the other’s face as he was benching around 500 pounds. He’d gotten stuck on a rep and the work boot crush was intended to motivate the completion of the repetition.

Or one screaming for the other to hit him as hard as he could prior to a set to ramp up the intensity. This was ongoing, with each assaulting the other, and it pushed Mike Christian, who was training in the vicinity, over the edge. He stormed over and hammered the brother in the face as hard as he could. (And this was Mike at his biggest, mind you). The brother goes flying, knocking over benches, and landing in a heap. Instead of being angered, he gets straight up, beams a giant smile, bellows the infamous howl the brothers would routinely make, and then proceeds to do his set in an animal frenzy.

Christian just shakes his head and walks away.

Or the time they were driving their Jeep with oversized (and illegal) tires on the L.A. freeway. The cops pulled them over, and, seeing the two behemoths hop out out of the vehicle, immediately call for backup, fearing a serious situation was about to happen. Within minutes, the officers were laughing at the brothers’ hilarious (and constantly good-natured) antics.

Or Bob Kennedy telling me how he’d witnessed one of the bros simultaneously stabbing each quad with a loaded syringe. In the middle of the gym. Through jeans.

I have endless stories about The Barbarians.

Interesting how he views bodybuilding as being "acidic" because of all the food and drugs.

Better hope his wig doesn't catch on fire. :o

Seems like an interesting guy. But hate to ruin his fantasy- books actually do teach you. Chemistry, medicine, physics, electronics- yeah, it makes a difference.

Doesn't matter if he is mentally ill or not- these kind of people are just disruptive pains in the ass that exist only for there own attention mongering.

Maybe one of those punches to the head was the cause of him being off kilter a little. :D

Watching the videos leads me to think most of what he is doing is just putting on a show.  When I lived in Vegas I was only 2 blocks away from a mental hospital and sometimes patients would leave the facility and walk into restaurants, 7-11, gas stations, etc.  Those patients didn't act anything like Peter and they were all batshit crazy.  Peter is probably off a little but tries hard to get attention possibly for disability payments.
