One thing I never realized until recently was that he was just head and shoulders above the rest in 1980 from an absolute size perspective. He was a true heavyweight amongst light heavies. That counts in the real world but can be manipulated on the Internet by those with agendas.

Genetically only two rows but much deeper etched than buyers and great serrated and intercostals.

Well might as well throw in my worthless 2 cents. OK soooooo Arnie IMO deserved the win. Mentzer was off. His chest was flat his abs kind of had a washed over look to them when he was standing relaxed. Mike's whole upper body seemed to be down in size. Too much damn cardio and probably starved himself on top of it.

Arnold was prob at his best as far as conditioning and he knew he had to be not only because he was down in size but also because guys were coming in better shape too as the years passed. He never left anything to chance. He had some of the best leg separation in the show. Too bad he didn't come in a bit bigger but on this day he was still IMO the best man that day.

Well, the problem was and the back of Mike, who not excel in details. And everybody knows how much matter in a professional bodybuilding an back with full details and large. Also he did not look great in lat spread also, even near Zane. But in about two positions ( from front), with arms raised, Mike looks really great. Maybe better than anyone.
