It was a goal to do it once before I die. Will never get this. Will take up stamp collecting.

I am fairly strong in all of my lifts except chest. Well thats not true. I can db fly n db press fairly impressive but my bench was never great. I used to work out with 4 sets 315 for a clean five. Could never get over that lower rep hurdle. In fact I can do high fairly heavy reps w legs, back, shoulder but my chest has no endurance for benching. I'm working hard to get back. I know I've repeated it but I'm coming back from bicep reattachment but the reason it snapped there was a bug spur on my shoulder that sliced the tendon. I have no strength in the bench right now just getting 225 for 4 n sometimes not even that cuz my arm hurts so bad where they put it back on. But for the first time in years I have good rom in shoulder n no pain in the joint so im hopeful to get back. Oh yeah I usually go 200-212 bw

My heaviest bench was around 225 for 11 or 12 reps at a weight of 195 lbs back in the 90's. Never tried 315 lbs. Instant injury would have happened. If I kept benching my shoulders would have fallen off by now. They were causing pain back then.

Today, I use about 60 - 70 lbs dumbells and press them one arm at a time, like an alternate punching motion. I don't count reps and try to do it for a minute. Sometimes I will also place elbows against the side and do push ups with feet up on the bench. The further your elbows go away from your sides the more stress hits them.

My gym has been so busy lately, I haven't found a bench press available in a while at my gym.  I have to do my workouts on Smith Machine instead, as I don't have the patience to wait.   I did 315 for 12 reps on the Smith Machine yesterday.  Conventional bench press would be maybe 6 or 7 reps at 315, but I'm in my 40's now, and the joints cant take the heavy stuff like it used to.

Since we don't have to back it up......I usually superset 315 curls and bench for sets of 20. :D

First I do not see anyone making claims here, 90 % of the posters said they fell short and can not do it, I do not know what you are talking about? Post videos? of what? of people who fall short of 315  ???

lmao OK people you heard the man.

Post those videos of you guy not doing 315 since most said they could not do it, lol
