Calcium interferes with the absorption of quite a few things. ZMA is unlikely "necessary," but a good, absorbable form of Zinc & magnesium is desirable. Avoid taking them with milk and/or other foods and supplements containing calcium.
Calcium can help with the absorption of some things, but not the ones above.
