judging from the second pic, paul probably got a handjob to make him feel better..

seriously though, water loss drugs were and are very dangerous.

Paul is very lucky.

I remember reading pauls take on this. He claimed that he took Lasix prior to prejudging given to him by a well known 'guru'.

As he was inexperianced in contest prep he took them without question (even though he claimed he already looked ready) and duely pissed for 1 hour straight. He claimed that he could not believe how he was able to piss so much and he concluded the water was coming out of his vital organs.

It frightened him to death and I know he was very careful with duretic use after this incident.

Flex Wheelers acount of his own duretic use in his book Flexability is also pretty harrowing.

He discusses that show in his last article in Muscle Mag. with Cutler on the cover.  He said it was his first time taking 40mg of Lasix (spelling?).

Was hospitalized for that one.

I was at the show sitting in the same row as Shawn Ray, Flex Wheeler, and several other top level bodybuilders. Paul was so stiff, the pushed him over and carred him offstage as stiff as a board. Funny thing is, Flex kept yelling "suck it up Paul". If Paul would have made it through the prejudging, he possibly would have won the show. But, did Paul ever make it through a prejudging, at least without almost dying?

You are right when you say Paul may well have won that show. It was probably the best he looked in his career. Sad thing was that he did not need the extra duretics that night.

In other news, this just in!!  Mario Bros arcade game manufacturer Nintendo has just released it's first 8-bit in-home game console!   Details are still coming in, but it appears Super Mario Bros will be included with the release of the new gaming system...stay tuned!!

Maybe the lasix would've allowed him hold his poses longer without shaking  ;D

Great physique, but worst poser of all time.

Dillet was the most cartoonish bodybuilder ever.  He looked like a fuken action figure  even had badass calves (no black mans curse).   Too bad his posing sucked and his back wasn't as good as the rest of him.  He was the 90's version of Sergio.

Makes you think how freaky Oliva would have looked if he was competing in today. It would be scary. Him against Ronnie would be amazing!!

Imagine a callout Dillet, Coleman, Oliva     That would be something to see.
