i never want to tear any muscles
how do i do this?
Don't lift like a dick. Take the time to warm up.
I was trying to show up the liars on bodybuilding.com and was pushing heavy, heavy weight when I first started juicing. I felt invincible but always took the time to warm up. Was benching 350lbs, racked it. Dropped to 225lbs and did a couple sets close to failure. Was going to one more set despite my right pec feeling a bit odd and suddenly it popped! I freaked out but there was nothing bad. There was a tiny bit of redness in my chest, but I still feel it to this day. I struggle under 135lbs. I've benched 225lbs again but it felt sketchy as fuck. I will never flat bench again. Too sketch!
Did the same thing with my bicep too. Was curling with the barbell and felt a big time TWANG and my arm went numb. I stretched it all out and just finished by doing a super light pump workout and slowly stretched things to check my range of motion. I think I got off super lucky. Those could have been torn body parts forever. No need to lift ultra heavy and stupid for aesthetics. Nothing stands out more than a busted up muscle tear.
