I wonder what an outsider to bodybuilding would think of a video like this. It probably comes across as fruitless self-punishment combined with a mild eating disorder.
He'd look so much better if he lost 10kg. Even at his lightest (for his competitions) he was still too heavy to really see his muscles clearly. As of now, his muscles are so hidden that he may as well not lift at all. The results of his hard work aren't showing, and will never show if he doesn't fix things up with his diet.
My take is that his caloric intake has been too high as he does not know how to measure or weigh things properly.
I think he keeps his intake high because he's scared of getting light. It's how someone becomes a "permabulker". They're confusing weight (seeing progress on the scales) with muscle (seeing progress in the mirror or photos).

Here is Arnie's wisdom, modified for Genova:

"The good bodybuilders have the same mind...that a sculptor has. If you analyze it, you look in the mirror and you say, okay, I need a bit
more deltoids less stomach....so that the proportion's right, and...you
exercise diet and
put those deltoids on shrink the waist"
