It's possible to look at the original case and come to the conclusion that there wasn't enough evidence to convict Zimmerman of murder 2 while also acknowledging that zimmerman's recent behavior is atrocious.
IMO, it was the vague law "You can shoot someone to defend yourself - even if you are the aggressor that started the fight".
That's totally the law. You're allowed to follow someone 2 blocks with a gun - as you admit they're running from you. You're allowed (not saying this is the case here) - You're ALLOWED to attack the kid - then halfway thru the fight when you decide you wish to exit the fight - you can THEN use your gun in self-defense. And it's totally legal.
To me, that's just bullshit... just horrible part of the law. I can walk up to Mike Tyson and punch him in the head, yes, I'll be charged with assault, but then when he starts defending himself, I can claim "I feared for my life" and I can shoot in self-defense.
It's terrible, it really is. But it's the law, baby!
