Yeah...I want to send kid my here. lol

Want more Obama?

In The Washington Post, Jonathan Zimmerman, a history professor from NYU, has written an article claiming that all of America’s problems would be soloved–GET THIS–if only we would allow Barack Obama to run for a third term!

He wants to amend the Constitution and abolish presidential term limits.

Zimmerman writes that Obama–whose approval rating is at an all time low of 37%–would be much more effective at governing if he could stand for re-election in 2016 because then he’d be less likely to “ignore” the will of the American people. “It’s time to put that power back where it belongs,” he writes. “Barack Obama should be allowed to stand for re election just as citizens should be allowed to vote for — or against — him. Anything less diminishes our leaders and ourselves.”

We don’t know whether to shake our head in disbelief, or burst out laughing.

This professor admits that only a third of Americans approve of the job Obama is doing in office, yet he wants us to believe that we’d be better off if he were able to be president until the year 2020–and beyond?

That’s some strange logic.

Just one week ago, the very same newspaper ran a story predicting that if the 2012 election were held now, Mitt Romney would win the White House, not Obama.

Right now, this country has a serious case of voter’s remorse. Therefore the timing for this call for a potential third Obama term couldn’t be worse.

If we were going to go to the trouble of amending the Constitution, I think more Americans would be interested in adding the power to recall this president than would be interested in giving him a third term.

It's not like the abolition of term limits would be anything new.
GWB is already on his  4th term, ...a 5th is no precedent.

Fuck no!

The fcked up thing about it is that he would probably win.  He has the ground game, the money, the advantages that come with being incumbent.  His numbers were worse than CARTER and he WON BIG against a guy with bottomless pockets who had been essentially running for 6 straight years.

Obama would certainly beat an obese christie or an inexperienced Rubio... just as Bush would have squeaked out a win in 2008, Clinton would have won in a landslide in 2000.

no way Bush would have won in 2008 against ANY Dem (certainly not Hillary or Obama)

Bush fucking checked out for the last 6 months of his presidency and had a deer in the headlights look as the financial markets were crashing and UE was sky rocketing

That's what he was put in office to do. The bankers knew what they were doing.
They're looting the crap out of what's left before everything implodes under it's own weight.

Obama inherited a mess and made it worse.

yeah, what part did he make worse?

stock market, real estate values, unemployment rate are all improved

government spending and the size of government are both down

healthcare is still a big question mark but at least you can't lose your policy for pre-existing conditions and there is no annual or lifetime limits in coverage provided.
The roll out sucked and the cancellations suck but it could wind up being better (perhaps much better) by the end of his term

How many billions per month is being spent on toxic debt with no end in sight,
devaluing the currency hand over fist, ...and you think gov spending is down?  Shocked
C'mon Straw, where do you think that money came from?
...and who do you think is responsible for paying it back, ...as well as how?

Just because it's a private organization writing the check makes no difference...
...not when the gov has pledged Americans' wealth, labour & purchasing power to repaying those sums.

What's with the will? It already has, ...you just haven't recognized it yet.
The government has, ...that's why they're arming every gov office to the tits.
They're preparing for when the majority of the public finally realizes their country is gone.

Oh no.  The United States has collapsed.  Every government office is being armed.  Does that include the agencies dealing with kids and the elderly?  You know how violent babies and nursing home residents can get.

How is it you're the only one who knows this, and you don't even live in this country?  You have inside scoops with the people responsible for the already collapsed greatest country on planet earth?

We all know your feelings on Obama, so we know you are already foaming at the mouth. I'm not sure what your reaction would be if someone wrote this article about a President that you approved of, but let's not go down that road either. Because I'm curious about something else - and this is a very interesting topic:

Arguments about the "goodness" of a specific President aside, what is your view of the 22nd Amendment? Do you support it on principle? Or do you think it should be repealed, again on principle? In other words, do you believe that the American people should not have the option of electing someone to the Office of the President more than twice? Or do you believe that the American people should be able to have that option available to them? Can you tell us why you support the position you support?

This is a question not just to Coach, but to others as well. I'm interested in reading your answers.

Closet liberal? There you go again. Remember when you made this accusation last time and I flogged you so badly you apologized to me in public and in a private message? Frankly, I think that it's immediately and blatantly obvious that I'm as far removed from being a liberal as you are from being intelligent.

Posting silly comments, calling me a closet liberal and a stalker only highlights just how fucking stupid you are. Which is why nobody here is surprised that you avoid the opportunity to answer a serious and interesting question.

Joe, it's a pity and a disgrace that you get to vote. You are an uneducated and unthinking simpleton that uncritically spouts out what others have pre-chewed and pre-digested for you.

lol.....k.

Such an eloquent and brutally rational post. You have answered all my questions, completely obliterated my position and converted me to your side. You, Sir, are a true orator; you have audiences, far and wide, hanging from your silver tongue. I salute you!

Roll Eyes

By the way, Joe, it might be instructive for you to read the original article that the post you copy-pasted refers to. It's available at http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/end-presidential-term-limits/2013/11/28/50876456-561e-11e3-ba82-16ed03681809_story.html. I'm curious to know whether you think the article you posted is an accurate analysis of Professor Zimmerman's op-ed, and if you can tell us where the article says the things that like "[Zimmerman] has written an article claiming that all of America’s problems would be soloved–GET THIS–if only we would allow Barack Obama to run for a third term!"

Oh, I know you don't bother with this sort of thing. You, by your own admission, "see it" and then "post it". You don't bother to check whether the stuff you "see" is accurate, or whether the stuff you "post" is truthful. You just consume whatever it is that you're spoon-fed and, then, through some twisted mental alimentary process, defecate posts full of disinformation, inaccuracies, conspiracy theories and disjointed rants.

As I said, it's disconcerting to know that you - an uneducated, unthinking blindly partisand simpleton - get to vote, because your vote is nothing but a vote by proxy by your taskmasters. What you vote for doesn't matter. Even if you cast every vote in exactly the same way as I would cast it, the above analysis wouldn't change. Because, ultimately, I don't object to your particular vote. I object for many reasons:

I object to the fact that you don't think.
I object because you're nothing but a poor quality mouthpiece that spits out incomprehensible noise.
I object because you fancy yourself fit to offer political opinions on subjects you know nothing about.
I object because you are using every muscle except the one that really counts while, at the same time, trying to pass yourself off as a deep thinker and paint yourself as a prophet who warned a people that just wouldn't listen.
I object because you believe you and your ilk have a monopoly on truth. I object because when confronted with logic you respond with a stream of logical fallacies.

So yeah... make silly comments Joe. Keep pulling back that sheet of skin that's your face - a sheet stretched thin over the wasteland that is your mind - and showing everyone here just the kind of pathetic idiot you really are.
