Yes E-Kul...but when you rant along with others like Groink and OTH.....you decide to insult people. Just rant...don't insult people or their opinions.
We all do it from time to time but certain members on here do nothing but.
I disagree, I rarely insult people. I'm not saying I don't do it, but I always try to stay on point and argue my position. If you follow any of the threads I am in, I constantly get personal insults and attacks, constantly. Their is a difference between insulting someone and expressing a point of view others find offensive. It is fashionable these days to be politically correct, which essentially is a form of dishonesty used under the pretense of not offending anyone, especially minorities. The problem with political correctness is that it is a tool for squashing political dissent, it is quite oppressive when you examine it. It's just that I value honesty more than I do other people feelings, which if you ask me is the way it should be. If I think and feel a certain way, I simply express it. The intent isn't to offend, it's for me to be genuine, to be true to myself.
Prior to feminism coming along, this is the way men used to be, men spoke honestly and openly and yes, they occasionally fought about their ideas and opinions. But feminism has turned men into sensitive sallies, the type who would get emotional if you didn't mourn some douchebag actor because the feminist media tells you too. It's just that a lot of my observations about life contain harsh criticisms, and some people can't take criticism. They equate criticism with being insulted. If people were to take everybodies unique sensitivities into account, we would all be mutes. The fact is you are bound to offend someone, even when trying not to, so with that in mind, it makes perfect sense to me to just say what I think. That seems the most genuine approach.
