he has a fatpanda-eqsue hero complex, like hes out to save the innocents from 'evil', and if hes not crusading against anything that has rhe potential to take an innocents life then the 'evil' is winning. Problem is that his world view is fucked up due to his accident and hes a psychotic control freak because of it.
hes no different than any other petty 3rd world dictator throughout history who used fear and horror to take peoples freedoms because hes 'saving them from themselves'.
I honestly think he doesn't want anyone to have guns because he fears what he would do with one , it's projecting. He can't wrap his head around that fact people on average use firearms 2.5 million times a year defensively to protect themselves and their families and property

This is what all these people suffer from , a perception of danger that is distorted , it's like every year when the summer comes and a Great White attacks and people freak out about all the shark attacks when in fact it's usually one of two a year ( in America )
