protect ourselves, I have never been attacked, nor have my friends or family.
it must be a American thing.

Most American's have never been attacked either.

don't be like that, lets have a proper conversation.
If I lived in the US I would own a gun too, too many unemployed junkies there.
All the best to you, if someone breaks into your home and u have gun in hand and you feel threatened, shoot the fuck.

Its very rare that happens here.

You guys still don't get it. Must be because of the difference in culture.

The guns aren't to protect us from each other. They are to protect us from our government.

Dude what do you mean, other cultures. Do you have any idea how the US culture is viewed elsewhere in the world?
Do you mean the rest of the western world??. The US is basically the only western country with this odd gun culture/law (your govt shafts you constantly, what more could it do to you??). YEMEN, one of the dodgy nations that US, and other nations are rightfully watchful of, is the next highest country for gun ownership, and it has 1/2 the rate of ownership. You guys have 88 guns per 100 people. Most of your guns are in the hands of only 35% of the US population, and that 35odd% is buying more of them. Whats up with that. Now most other countries say its fine to own a rifle or shotgun for hunting and sport shooting, but there are licences like for driving a car, and you can't carry them round in public places for safety reasons.
The stats show that US whites are twice as likely to kill themselves/suicide with their own guns, than be killed in a gun homicide. And just having one in the home massively ups the rate of someone in that home killing themselves or a loved one in the home, when compared to homes without guns. Yes in other countries you may get robbed, but you go home alive!

Yes I do.

I don't need a "drone"

How many drones do you think you need to have to stop 300 million guns (because that's what we have here in the US)

My budget is the collective budget of the entire country. If a revolution occurs, then you can bet your ass the government can't stop us.

Those crime statistics have little to do with the availability of guns (in fact, guns have little to no effect on overall violent crime rates).

However, I would bet that the rise in those crime statistics can be directly attributed to Australia's insistence on letting in millions of uneducated Third-Worlders swarm into their country and eat away at the social safety net.

mine is to protect me from wild packs of Obamas sons kicking down doors in the middle of the night. They are targeting Asian / Indian households in our area because they know those ethnicities are less likely to have a guard dog or gun (and more likely to keep valuables in their homes)

A little old lady just down our street had her door kicked in recently and a gang of Disadvantaged Youth burst in waving a gun in her face. Luckily for her , her son in law and friends were in the back and had their own gun and the scum ran away.

I'n not trying to argue with you. but how many rounds of ammunition do you have?

How many bullets do you think most Muricans have? do you have enough bullets to carry one day of war?

How many drones to stop 300 million? a dozen can do the job..really easy.

Can you do a carpet bombing? how many Muricans can do that?

"President Obama has just stated a policy that he can have any American citizen killed without any charge, without any review, except his own. If he’s satisfied that you are a terrorist, he says that he can kill you anywhere in the world including in the United States.

Two of his aides just … reaffirmed they believe that American citizens can be killed on the order of the President anywhere including the United States.

You’ve now got a president who says that he can kill you on his own discretion. He can jail you indefinitely on his own discretion"

 Good luck. ;)
