I believe that it's one of the best shows in the air, for this season.

Along with "Peaky Blinders", they are my favorite!!!

First two episodes rocked. 3rd was boring.

What's nice is it's only 8 episodes, and will end, so it can't be drawn out like Dexter, etc...

And, if there was ever a body that most straight men here could agree on, no matter what preference, take a look at Alexandria Daddario's nude scene. Her body is RIDICULOUS.

I'm digging it.

That being said, I'm not sure how American audiences will judge it. While it's getting a lot of praise, I've noticed a lot of younger folks whine about how slow and cerebral it is. I find it's evolving much like a British or Euro drama, so it will be interesting to see the long run breakdowns between various countries.

Don't sweat it. The first 3 episodes were a build up to what I am hearing is going to be an epic episode 4. Some are saying it might be one of the best things you'll see on TV in years

Excellent show. I thought the ending of episode 3 was anti-climatic but it really builds anticipation for episode 4(which is in 2 weeks after the Super Bowl). For those that think it's too boring or slow paced should stick to watching Michael Bay movies.

Mconaughey is on one hell of a run as an actor. He's come a long way since Dazed and Confused("You just gotta keep livin' man, L-I-V-I-N!") Harrelson's character is becoming very unlikeable...lol. Great dialogue between the two.

I love the premise of this series is that every season will be different actors and Woody and Matt wanted to be the first. HBO is lucky to have signed him when they did because after all the awards he's winning this season his price is probably 10 times higher now.

Agree. He's up for the best actor oscar for Dallas Buyer's club. He was still skinny from that role when he filmed True Detective. Great acting on his part for this show.

I mentioned this in another thread, but this series has some of if not the best acting ever on a tv show in history. It is on a total other level. its watching a movie every week

My wife doesn't get why I love the show.....its been a little slow (maybe) at points but last episode and the next one look like they're going to push the story forward. Somebody needs to get Mconaughey a sandwich but its great. Why everybody even bothers with the networks as far as getting shows produced is beyond me....HBO or FX.

The ending is how the show Sons of Anarchy should have been done.
