I asked why so many cals lower , not how long, you claim you always eat as much as possible and still lose weight, so why 600 cals lower?

When leaning out, yes, that is the caloric range that I use.  Did you also fail to read and comprehend where I don`t count calories for months at a time?

If your maintenance is 3000 why dont you eat 2650 an lose a lb a week, why 2400?

Arbitrary choice really.  Anything under 3000 works for me.  I can maintain and not gain on 3000-3300.

2,402-Calories    258-Carbs    85-Fat   186-Protein 39-Fiber


I eat whatever I like and end up with perfect nutrition. Got to love that.  More fiber than you and Galeniko combined I bet.

I know I could have, but I do not want to.  I could go up to  around 3000 if I wanted to.

Nope and nope.  I am actually going to try and extend my maintenance a bit with a bout of reverse dieting.  I find for me, if I create a workable deficit from my maintenance, then increase calories, I can increase my metabolic rate by a few hundred calories.  If I started at 2800, homeostasis would kick in much faster and increasing calories would not have as greater effect as if I started lower.

I also do not mind eating and cooking less at the moment for a variety reasons, including that I cook all of one of my dog`s meals who is not feeling well at the moment.  I actually enjoy spending a bit less time in the kitchen right now for myself.  I feel like I live there sometimes!

Eating out is worse.  I do not like the food anyone makes.  Total waste of time and money.  I would rather get Burger King or a Pizza than go to a restaurant.  At least they are consistent, whereas most restaurants, including exclusive and expensive ones, just reheat pre-cooked food and then cook the protein source.  Not only that, I am watching my dog carefully, as she needs help getting up and down steps and could not leave her for long periods of time.  She is still recovering from her Tick-Borne Disease and the the Cephalexin she was on, gave her nasty side effects that are slowly going away now which is a good thing.  She should make a full recovery.
