there are some posters on allthingsmale.com who are highly educated about TRT but have horrible results -because they're in their 50's or older, obese, don't exercise and have terrible diets.

the real long term damage from TRT is caused by the mechanical act of injecting imo

Hope you are being sarcastic. I am not sure how much damage a 22 gauge needle does, but it probably isn't much. It's rare if I bleed even one drop of blood when injecting, the needle slips through the skin like a knife through butter. I never have pain at the injection site nor have I ever had an infection.

Obviously, TRT does not replace a healthy diet and reasonable exercise. It is possible for someone to be on TRT and be unhealthy, but it unlikely that TRT is the cause of this. I currently weigh what I did in my early 20's, so no obesity here. Can't help getting old, it only natural. So far my health has been good to great. If I keep going the way I have been, I could see 100....Lord have mercy!

Nor is there much evidence suggesting that it doesn't.... fact is, this is uncharted territory.  We don't know much about the long term effects.

We don't?

What about the many old time bodybuilders that are still alive and apparently healthy?
Louie

Arnold

Franco

Frank Zane

Ric's Corner dude

Boyer Coe

Gary Strydom

Robby Robinson

These dudes all used well above trt doses.

There are studies dating back to the 1940's of exogenous testosterone use.

Feel free to post one.  I bet any study doesn't track participants for longer than 12 weeks, but please prove me wrong

Right,  none of these people were under observation while using steroids.  So how does that tell us anything about the long term effects of steroids?

I know Arnold had heart surgery, the rest we don't know what kind of health issues they may be dealing with.  Either way you can't really draw any conclusions from a sample size of 8.

My neighbor is 78, and has been smoking for over 60 years.  Just because I see him alive and walking around doesn't mean smoking isn't unhealthy

Am on mobile so don't have any but this one bookmarked (used it in my MA dissertation) and follows a select group, obviously, but does go over 6-years.

WOW! Thanks for posting this....now that's how you make a point!  Of note, these men maintained total test levels of about 450 ng/dl, which isn't particularly high.  Still, it's remarkable how many health parameters improved.  Very thought-provoking
