Or their services. I read somewhere that on some packages of fish, it will read caught in Canada, filleted in China...and then it's ship back here. So, you have have many parts of their economy that is dependent on US/North American industries.
Sinking our economy would sink theirs. Plus, you have a lot of rich Chinese that have to have their Western goods. If the US tanks, you have a lot of rich folks really pissed at their own government. Which means focus and money could be turned towards them.

They'd actually have to have the threat of force to pull it off though. Right now they don't. And IF they chose to go the route youre speaking of, it'd fuck them as well since theyre so tied to us. Everyone wants to make china out like they hold this boogeyman over our heads but until theyre more independent economically or have a legit military threat, theyre a paper tiger to us.

You're very wrong. Why do you think they've been buying gold like mad? They are building gold reserves in part to offset a mass write off in U.S treasuries. They need not rely upon the fat American consumer indefinitely, as they have an ample population to buy the very products they produce, once they allow their currency to rise. You're also not considering who their major ally is.

Down the road absolutely. ... but I think youre buying way too heavily into the flip side agenda just as americans buy tok hard into the pro - America agenda.

Right now, we need each other and theyd be comitting economic suicide by doing what you're speaking of. As you already alluded too, their citizens dont currently have enough buying power to purchase their own goods and no one else to purchase them. Thwyre doing what they can do to try and offset it im sure but at this point its not feasible

Also, its been pointed out several times that they've been distorting and inflating their numbers to appear stronger.... ghost city builds come to mind.

Everyone wants there to be a super nemesis to the US control of the global economy but it just doesnt exist right now. Someday, absolutely. .. but not for quite a while.

Their population wants real authentic product. They don't trust "Chinese made product". They are addicted to Western goods, Western Style. Sure, they produce a lot of stuff for us, but they don't come up with new ideas. To the rich who buy, authenticity is king.

The main one that people keep referring to, is up in mongolia. its a horridly cold place, its no surprise no one wants to live there.

When is the last time Chinese troops even engaged in any type of urban warfare?
