You need at least a 20kg on each side to maximize that.

i enjoy doing skull crushers on the smith machine lately,u can really focus bigtime on the movement n u dont need a spotter.i set the safety things right at my forehead so if i slip or anything my SKULL wont get CRUSHED,better safe than sorry and at my age a injury can really set me back awhile n time aint exactly on my side :(

I like Phil Heath's angled tricep extension. He takes two dumbells, has the bench angled, and does the movement.

Or one from an old Kali Muscle vid--he lies with his upper body on the bench, and I think his arm over his chest and he does a tricep extension. You remember that vid Mes?

Shawn Ray was the same way. You come away from the video actually feeling like you learned something.
Funny how you said Kali was more hardcore I his early vids, well before he even competed. He was working out in small gyms and was smaller.

skull crushers are awesome doing them on a decline bench with the curl bar, your tris r under constant tension from beginning to end cause of the angle

the same result is achieved doing them on a regular bench with your elbows behind your shoulder line ::)

I prefer mild bend. Have one with a semi circle hook in middle in gym, it is useless to me. Some morons in gym use it for good mornings, I reckon they think hook shape is so it fits around neck. They also walk on treadmill with backpacks. Oh, they're both naturals and look like shit too.

I have a JOJ dvd from before he was pro. Has some corny banjo music when he does lunges. Most of it is useless but for chest he does pause on chest before concentric rep. 5x5 with that. It works well, you will be in agony next day.

Have to get back using straight bar. Had wrist probs a year or so ago. Used to curl 80kg for 2 reps natural no idea how I didn't tear muscle. Use 40kg on ez bar now which is 53kg or so for 15 or so reps.

Had one like the very top for a few weeks. It was interesting, but not enough to keep. Like most things, I just went back to regular bars and dumbbells by nature. It was decently made compared to bars of the time.

Troy Barbell / VTX makes similar ones called their "Supra Bar" line - https://troyfitness.com/products/supra-bar .
