One thing you will notice is that Sonny pretty much only looked really good in the lat spreads. Which was the opposite of Dillett, who only looked good when not doing a lat spread.

I'd say that in terms of the lat spread of Ray, Schmidt, Labrada, I would think that they are equal. Schmidt's lower rhomboids are impressive.
Since they (Schmidt, Yates, Haney) are not doing the same pose, one cannot say that he looked better than those two.

Sonny had him on legs for sure! I just find that his physique flowed better than Haney that year. Total X frame, that Haney did not have. Sorry if that's the physique I think looks better. It's all subjective. Parker(idiot) how many posts agreed with me and not you dopey, and it was not because Sonny trained at my gym. So did Nasser, Milo's, Dave Fisher, Paul Jean Guillame ( great natural), Mattarazzo was there for a bit, Kovaks too, big Jim Quinn, his Vascularity is still unmatched today. I can still see it. Nasser at the time, looked like a power lifter in the off season. That was the year he took second. That was  when I first started there. Dianna Dennis, Sue Price, Sandra Blackie, Shelly Beatie, Roger Stewart, etc... It was the spot to be at the time! I was just starting out really, so these guys made you train hard! Great inspiration, being a small fish in a big pond so to speak! Man I Practically lived there. Really motivating, great times. I'm sure from this post, someone will know exactly what gym and what city this was!!

You just have not been around to really see and compare up close what each one of these guys looked liked to have a comparison. It's really what you prefer in a physique. You might like Haney? As far as liking Haney, I don't really. But he is 8X O for a reason, and Sonny basically got blown away by the 90s competition. Sunny and X-frame? You must be on the same stuff Sonny was on, cocaine. Because Sonny had a very poor taper. This is like the first time ever anyone has said that Sonny Schmidt was better than Lee Haney, ever. And I am not even a Lee Haney fan.

BTw, here is sonny getting killed on the MM pose, as you said, the handwriting was on the wall. Great striations, but he was nothing special. No real separation, no real fullness. Just doesn't impress me. Like Porter Cottrell, and 90s Robby Robinson, and later John Sherman. They were not impressive.




Also, Haney would not have killed for Sonny's quads, if Lee wanted bigger quads he would have gotten them. He retired at a pretty young age.

First of all, Sonny is hardly getting killed in that shot. How you forget he is in the picture with at the time the two best BB's of that time. So you disproved your own point!!!
