honestly i just watched the jds fight this morning,i was just commenting on jds overall as a fighter.i think stripe won rd 1 and 2,i gave jr the 3 and 4,5 was a toss up but honestly jr might have edged him out in rd 5.a draw would of been nice imo

 rewatch the fights and u will clearly see stipe controlled the center of the octagon all the way up to the late 4th and 5th rd when he got really tired,even rogan said it on numerous occassions on how stipe is just walking JR down.STIPE had the better accurate punches landing 54% to JRS 47 %.when stipe gets in cain type of shape and doesnt get tired the outcome will be different next time against JDS, only reason JDS got back into the fight in the 4th and 5th is cause stipe got gassed.JDS is got alot of experiance in long fights and stipe is still a young buck in the game,give stipe another year or so to get in better shape and he will be fighting for the title.JR used his experiance to beat the less seasoned stipe imo,stipe never been past 4 i dont think and JR been in afew 5 rd brawls.that makes a huge difference when it comes to the championship rds.cain set the blue print on how to beat JR but cain is also on another level when it comes to the clinch game and taking people down and not many people can take JR down as he is extremely hard to take down and holding him down is even tougher,but it does tire JR out alot having to keep fighting his way back to his feet so its a good strategy

when i said young buck i shoulda clarified what i meant,i was trying to say as far as experiance in big fights(MAIN EVENTS 5 ROUNDERS). experiance is huge in those longer fights, experianced guys know not to BLOW THIER LOADS in the first 3 rds and then be gassed in the championship rds.stipe did look like the CRISPER PUNCHER but JR definately had the POWER PUNCHES.JR did have more over all punches  and POWER SHOTS thrown but stipe had a better percentage of ACCURATE PUNCHES LANDING, stipe did have afew takedowns,wasnt able to capitilize on them though except afew times when JR was getting up breaking away from stipe. only thing that hurt stipe was his lack of experiance being the MAIN EVENT,ALOT OF TIMES these inexperianced fighters have an adrenaline dump in the first 2 rds and then they r shot the rest of the fight,im sure he learned a lesson from this and next time wont blow his load so early,but all in all he has nothing to b ashamed of cause he went 5 hard rds with the former champ and number 2 HW in the world imo and gave him a handful

I agree that Stipe was slowing down later rounds but he was still 'eeking out the "W", judges also screw  Joanna vs Claudia decision IMO.

You don't win fight because you walk forward or you are standing in the middle of the ring, Stipe  lost because he was completely gassed and spent the last 3 rounds just  looking at  the clock ,waiting for the fight to end .
You should watch MMA with out commentary, all you do is  parrot things Joe Rogan has said .

Yes, K1 in the 00s was much more exciting... JDS took another beating, for how long he can continue? Fight was close, draw maybe... Mixed feelings for Overeem-Struve, happy for The Reem and for seeing something different, he always had a very good ground game and GnP, he should have employed it and worked on it since his debut in UFC, this is not K1 with big gloves anymore... But sad watching Struve pounded like that after all his problems...

I'm not a fan of the UFC/american style productions, I think they are boring and lack the sophistication of for example what the Japanese did with Pride or the great athmosphere you had at old school boxing matches. And like I said I really dislike Rogan and the fucking constant screaming. For example Bas Rutten is much better as a commentator.

Also it's not just a question of how the fights/events are organized and produced, the fact that fighters have less weaknesses have made the fights more boring and the fighters neutralize each other. I rather watch youtube clips of street fights than an UFC fight. You need interesting characters and interesting match-ups. These days everything is overanalyzed and overcommercialized. Not enough real interesting characters in sports. Just a bunch of boring robots.

Maybe a big white guy with a big gut who can't kick or wrestle but he has a hammer punch and heart of a lion and then put him up against a black guy from some french colony who is very athletic and quick. Guys who don't have 8 different coaches and 'perfect' training but they are real fighters not pretty boys with no heart. Also I don't want to see them fight in a boring UFC production where the fighters have to hug all their 8 coaches before the match at the same time as Rogan hypes them up with his boring and mindless screaming. I'd rather see them fight in an old football stadium in senegal where you have crazy crowds climbing all over the place and going crazy in general. No boring ufc fans who just pose with their ufc hats and smart phones.
