He was 100% certain he was going to replace Arnold and the popular Weider's principles/methods " (for 15 good minutes) lol but when Arnold, being retired 5 years and 3 other bodybuilders placed ahead of him in Sydney.... He showed what he really was made of, Mike was never a people's champ nor a victim of the powers that be", So from October 5th on instead of redemption or coming back stronger, he just got lazier as he got older by working out less and less until he gave up on bodybuilding altogether. Like he gave up college, the Airforce, writing for Weider, was smoking 2 packs of cigarettes a day, attending HIV meetings, sniffing white lines ,having his rent covered by a pinga lord, In the end he gave up on life altogether. The guy was a total failure.

I never commented on this topic but someone else put on a YT vid discussing the 1980 O and IMO judging that lineup would be hard. One thing that caught my ear was Mentzer saying something like he was 3.5% bf many weeks before the show and for sure under 3 at the show. Well he hardly looked it but said Arnold wasn't conditioned at all relatively. I didn't really see that either. He was conditioned by the day's standards IMO. I'm guessing Mentzer's diet was way suboptimal, it does matter too. What he said about how he ate sounded crappy. I do think he could have eaten plenty more protein but I guess he was following his reading of the day's "science."

I cant find the higher quality pic now but its simply from this lineup pic with them cut out and moved together. You can try the same for yourself. None of them scaled bigger or smaller. The only thing could be if they took the photo from a perspective where right side is closer. But the same goes for video you posted. I guess you can measure true scale of their heights compared to the pics.
