I waited all month for each episode of "American Muscle" on ESPN.

Yes, I remember that as well. American Muscle Magazine.

Fuck, I miss those days. Seems like social media has really devalued so much. I miss reading those magazines, watching sports on regular TV,  watching Larry Holmes defend his title on wide world of sports, for example , or reading an article about the 1985 Night of Champions contest. Professional coverage of most things, whether its sports, politics, entertainment etc has been replaced with social media hacks. Every asshole with a phone is an influencer and what they put out is utter trash, yet it pushed out printed publications and professional photographers and journalists along with it.

Arnold and Zane look like bookworm nerds. Arnold looks like he has down’s syndrome with his pants pulled up super high. Is that Dennis T. in the back right? His abs look great. Zane looks like crap and Boyer Coe does as well.

Mentzer appears to have a big fat belly as one of the other competitors observed. Is that Roger Walker up front? His belly looks very pudgy.

Thats a bad shot, bad angle. During his posing he was fuller and just as cut as those guys. Had some of the best arms and legs in the show. His lack of abs and sloped shoulders aren't a good look for him in this pic.
